Tybee Island Day at the Beach Experience from Savannah

Perfect day trip for 2 seventy year olds! Chris picked us up right on time, took care of the chairs, towels, umbrella and cooler. All we had to do was enjoy the day at the beach!

Amazing experience and no stress! Prompt pick up and drop off, easy communication. All was set up and ready for our group. Didn’t feel rushed.

From start to finish, our Tybee beach day was easy, organized, and relaxing. Chris, our guide, was punctual, informative, friendly, and fun. He definitely went above and beyond, tailoring the trip for each individual passenger. Highly recommend!

We were visiting Savannah without a car and really appreciated this service - pickup from our hotel, beach umbrellas, cooler with ice (which worked really well), and location near a good restaurant and the lighthouse. The bugs were no joke, but it was still a great day at the beach! The water was calm and warm.

Though it was expensive, it was worry free. The hotel pick up and drop off were great. Chris kept in touch with updates about his arrival. He drove us around the island and told us a lot about it's history. Our chairs and umbrella were waiting for us on the beach! It was a beautiful beach day!

We had such a relaxing day here. Being from the Outer Banks, we’re always happiest near the water, and Tybee definitely delivered. We walked the beach, watched the boats in the distance and grabbed seafood afterward. Really cute little coastal town and somewhere we’d visit again.

Chris was great. He picked us up at our Airbnb right on time and then stopped to let us grab snacks and beverages. It was great not having to worry about coolers/ice, chairs, umbrellas and towels. All we had to do was show up and have a great time at the beach which we did!! he picked us up, loaded all the stuff back onto the bus and we were back home right on time. This made for a very relaxing stress-free beach day. It helped that the weather was perfect in the water so refreshing.

I’ll start with Chris is a very nice guy and this is nothing against him, he was lovely. However, I do feel like I need to leave a review about our experience. We used Tybee Beach Bus for a beach day on my bachelorette trip. When we were almost at the beach, Chris started panicking and said the bus was overheating. He did not have water, which the bus apparently needs, so he used ours - so glad we had some. (In the future, I hope he keeps some on the bus for emergencies.) The bus was smoking and he left us all on it, which didn’t feel safe, so we got off on the side of the highway. Long story short, we got to the beach and back safely in the end, but it certainly didn’t feel safe. After our experience, I would not recommend using the bus service. We paid a lot of money for a scary experience and we were not offered any kind of discount/refund. Overall, great idea in theory, but I think the bus needs some work before I would recommend to someone.

It’s a great experience if you come to Savannah. Chris and his staff go above and beyond expectations. They are like family and this is shy when we come to Savannah we always look Chris up for relaxing good time at the beach. So whenever you’re in Savannah look these guys up and you won’t regret it.

The best beach day! We were picked up at our hotel in Savannah, headed to a convenience store to grab snacks and drinks, and we were off to the beach! We had a cooler filled with ice, chairs, towels, and an umbrella. You are close to restrooms and several eating options. We enjoyed a day to relax after a couple of days of walking miles in Savannah. And….you get lots of history as you travel the short distance to Tybee Island. We would definitely book again.
