Seeing turtles lay their eggs is a truly unforgettable experience, and Corozalito offers a more serene and intimate setting to witness it. While massive arrivals may occasionally occur, they are rare—what makes Corozalito special is its more consistent turtle activity throughout the season. Turtles always return to the same beach where they were born to nest, which makes each sighting even more meaningful. Depending on the timing, local guides will do everything possible to help you observe this incredible natural event. Excursions to see animals in their natural habitat means you may not always get to see them. You’re on their time. We didn’t get to see any turtles during our experience but it was still a great time learning the process annd walking the beach searching for a turtle to lay her eggs. Enjoy the beauty of the country!!
it was an extraordinary experience, we were lucky to have a turtle that laid more than a hundred eggs, and at the same time the birth, so many baby turtles that we protected from predators until the beach. Unique experience.

How incredibly lucky we were to experience the first day of the Arribada! So many turtles were nesting this night on the beach and coming in to shore every few minutes. We got to be with our turtle from the time she started digging her nest, layed her eggs, covered them, and made her way back to the ocean. It was incredible to witness such an important part of the life cycle of turtles. We also saw baby sea turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean. ❤️💕 Our guide Luis was so knowledgeable, funny, and an absolute joy to be around. My family will remember this experience forever.

The tour was very good and we were lucky enough to see 4 turtles. Three nested and of those three we were able to watch the entire process of building nest, dropping eggs and return to ocean of 1 thanks to the guide.

Our family of 4 had the opportunity to do the turtle nesting tour. This tour is at night (7pm) because that is when the turtles go on the beach to nest (or super early, which didn’t work for us). The tour was amazing! It was just us and our guide, Luis. He was very knowledgeable and answered ALL our questions. Being a small group allowed us to get very close to the turtle. We were super lucky because we immediately got to see a turtle nesting, lay her eggs and then walk back to the sea. It was definitely magical!
Sadly we didn’t see any turtles - but our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the beautiful night for a walk on the beach.

Maria helped us book a turtle tour, a horseback riding tour, and a coffee tour. All 3 were exceptional. Maria responded very quickly and arranged every detail. Each guide was knowledgeable as well as pleasant and kind. I was astounded at how much we learned while having the time of our lives.
