Description
During this tour, you will observe one of the most beautiful things. Experience one of Costa Rica's most remarkable natural events on a guided sea turtle tour near Sámara and Carrillo.
Join our knowledgeable local guide as we visit a protected nesting beach to see sea turtles in their natural habitat. Depending on the season and natural conditions, you may witness turtles arriving from the ocean, nesting, laying eggs, or even baby turtles making their way to the sea.
Along the way, learn about sea turtles, their life cycle, nesting behavior, conservation, and the importance of protecting their habitat.
Wildlife is unpredictable, and every night is different. As this is a completely natural experience, turtle sightings, nesting, hatching, or specific species cannot be guaranteed — and that's part of what makes every encounter so special.
Our guides provide instructions for responsible observation, helping minimize disturbance during this sensitive natural process.

Very expensive for a very low chance of seeing turtles
Guide not very locace, beach quite small, so little chance to see turtles, we do not really know if the guide believed a chance to see turtles born. Pretty surprising tracking method.

Operator response

You have to be lucky
We were picked up quite punctually by our guide Javier. Besides the three of us, there was another couple.
Transport by bus ... very generously sized for 5 people.
Had the most exciting trip to the beach imaginable. A bit like the theme park. Thrills . It has jerked without end, sometimes we thought the bus falls apart like in the cartoon.
Arrived we went to the beach. They learned a lot. Destroyed nests and nest predators seen... the nightlife on the beach was exciting. Approx. 2h we waited.
Chances are roughly 60/40% turtles can be seen laying eggs.
We've had no luck.
