Discover Scuba Diving The diving center Megale Hellas, in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica in Calabria, brings you into the marine world for your first scuba experience to discover the emotion to breathe underwater and admire the wonder under the sea. You’ll try the wonderful feeling of “flying” underwater, you’ll acquire notions of marine biology and you’ll develop new abilities but, above all, it will be great fun! The activity is suitable for everyone, adults and children 8 years old and up, and do not need any prerequisite, only the curiosity and the desire to go underwater. At the end of the activity, you will receive photos and video, souvenir of your first dive. And this is often only the beginning …!

We had a great diving week in Marina di Gioiosa Jonica which fully met our expectations. Beautiful dive sites (Scilla!) and impressive wrecks. Even when the weather got really bad, Francesco found a place to dive. We saw a lot of Calabria and got to know great restaurants in the mountains (now I know what Italian food really means...😋) Francesco and Giorgia, you did wonderfully, thank you!
Our three teenage daughters did a test dive here. Roberta and her team did a fantastic job. A first clear explanation in English and then they went into the depths from the beach, each with a personal guide. A fourth diver came along to take photos and videos, which we received by email the same day. Perfect service and a great experience that we highly recommend. Many thanks Roberta and team!
