The best way to see Savanah is to roll up your sleeves and dine through it! At Flavors Food Tours we not only explain the history of the city of Savannah, its culture and architecture, but we connect that history with the cuisine and libations iconic of the South and Lowcountry. You’d be surprised how much you can learn from a mouthful of Shrimp N Grits and Fried Green Tomatoes! Our tours are small, personal and intimate. Sort of like calling up a friendly, knowledgeable local to show you around. Our lunch tour is filling (enough for a meal), visiting up to five foodie places with an alcoholic drink included in the price. All our restaurant partners stand out as excellent examples of foods iconic to the South. Scoop up some atmosphere with our pillowy Beignets, famous Shrimp ‘n Grits & creamy, dreamy She-Crab Soup. Cap it off with a classic sit down dessert. This food tour is for the traveler, not the tourist. Join us & say you ate your way through Savannah.

Rise and shine! It's time to explore Savannah and you'll meet your guide for coffee and soft, warm, powdered sugary goodness in the form of beignets near our starting point. The True South Lunch Tour meets at the Riverfront in Rousakis Riverfront Plaza (close to Huey's restaurant). Look for your smiling guide in a GA peach-colored shirt and Flavors Food Tours logo. This tour focuses on CUISINE: enjoying foods native to the South and Savannah, learning the history behind its origins and understanding the culture and history of this region. We'll be walking about 2 miles through the historic northern section of Savannah. Foods we'll be trying include coffee, beignets, Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp N Grits and/or other main dishes of the South, She Crab Soup, Pecan Pie and more! This tour includes a cocktail (or mocktail for non drinkers) so ease on into vacation mode an slow it down a bit...you're in the South now!

A good tour guide that is knowlegible makes all the difference. The 3 hour tour went very well because we walked, sat , ate in comfortable environments (although the outdoor temperature was hot).

Every stop provided amazing food and portion sizes that left us genuinely full. Jessica was a wonderful guide and provided us with tons of local information and even more recs for future meals. We had a delightful time with Caeli. She made the whole tasty experience lots of fun. She was organized, entertaining and informed. She shared stories gently as they were pertinent. Us two ladies over 75 appreciated the stops to sit and rest in the shade. We loved learning about the impact of SCAD on Savannah downtown. My only wish is that we could have ended the tour closer to the starting point and our car….we were tired from the heat and the walk.

This was well worth our time and money. We had the chance to eat some local fare we may not have tried on our own. The food served wasn't small portions. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the food and history of Savannah. Do not hesitate to put this on your Savannah itinerary.

We really enjoyed our food tour in Savannah. Michael was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge about Savannah and the origins of the tasty items we sampled. Our group was a total of eight which we felt was a perfect size. We are very glad we took the morning tour as it gets a bit warm in the early afternoon.

Our guide Jessica was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every stop interesting with stories about Savannah’s culture and history. She is personable with the ability to engage the tour group and we felt like we made some new friends. The 5 locations with excellent food selections gave us a real taste of the city. We appreciated her making sure that different options for allergies were available. We especially loved the Southern specialties and learning about the restaurants and local traditions behind each dish. The walking pace was comfortable, and we enjoyed exploring areas we probably would have missed on our own. We would highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Savannah who wants a fun, delicious experience.

Great food tour! Jessica was friendly and took good care of us. The foods were delicious -- shrimp & grits, Beignets, fried green tomatoes, she-crab soup, cheese croquettes, and ice cream. We were with a nice group of people and enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend!
