We booked a guided tour of the campus then self guided Book of Kells Tour. This review focuses on the guided tour but both were amazing! I was delighted we got Eno as our tour guide. She brought us through the campus and gave us so many facts about the architecture, the culture and the history of the oldest College in Ireland. We felt comfortable to ask her questions and she was so warm which made the experience memorable for family visiting from abroad. This tour made me feel like I wanted to do more touristy things in my own city! Thank you for your time today Eno and best of luck with your graduation.
Booked Trinity College and book of Kells guided tour directly with the college site. Very worth the money, the book of Kells and library were amazing experiences.
It was excellent value for money. Niamh was a wonderful tour guide.
Isabelle S was delightful. She’s a great storyteller and moved through the tour at a comfortable pace for my husband who has some difficulty walking. Having a student give the tour is a bonus because she can give you insight about life on campus. Learning about the history of the college and the distinguished alumni is one of the highlights of our visit to Dublin. I highly recommend it.
Amazing!! We had Phillip and it was laughs the whole way. We got info on architecture and history, a couple stories etc. Really made the place feel alive, loved the monkey!!
David was our tour guide around the college, and he was very knowledgeable, approachable, and happy to answer any questions we had. One thing that could be improved is the meeting location. It was a little confusing to find based solely on the photo provided, so I would recommend including an exact Google Maps pin to make the meeting point easier to locate. Overall, it was still a neat experience getting to see the college and the books on display. The new library experience was interesting as well, I especially enjoyed the seated video portion. Some of the other elements, however, felt a little more “Disney-like” than I expected and took away slightly from the historic feel of the experience.
Fantastic tour and we learnt a lot. Not just about the college, but Irish history. Benjamin had great insight and his personal connection to the college was lovely to hear about. The Book of Kells exhibition was very interesting, and the long room was breathtaking. We took Benjamin's recommendation and visited The Pavilion at the end! Definitely recommend!
We recently went on this tour. It was very worth our time. It was very informative, not only about the Trinity College, but also Ireland history. Our tour guide, Benjamin, was excellent. His knowledge and personal experience made it very poignant and valuable. Also the Book of Kells experience was also very worth it.
Our guide, Soraya (sp?) was delightful and made this a really fun experience. She had lots of interesting info to share and was funny too.
Very enriching visit with a lot of information during this visit. The presentation in French is a plus for us.
