An amazing experience in Slovenia! Our tour guide was excellent, and the caves were absolutely breathtaking. Their incredible size and beautiful natural formations made this a highlight of our trip. A truly unforgettable experience—we would highly recommend this tour!
This is an experience you won’t want to miss. The cave was a breathtaking site. Our tour guide, Yelena, was very knowledgeable and her pride in Slovenia shown through in her commentary. This excursion was a comfortable way to travel. We appreciated the free time to sample the local cuisine and culture.
The cave was more amazing than any we have ever been to. The train ride was fun. Enjoyed being able to send a postcard from the cave.
Might have been our favorite excursion we did from our entire cruise. The guide was very knowledgeable and the whole experience surpassed our expectations. We loved the facts on the drive and had plenty of time at both stops. Keep in mind, you'll be traveling in a large commercial bus, but theres no bathroom. We had a lady in an emergency require us to make a stop only 5 minutes from the caves. She stood for probably 25 minutes after asking only 15 minutes into it drive.
Wonderful tour. The caves are amazing to see (just remember warm clothes). Rachel provided excellent commentary during the journey to/from the caves with interesting insights into the local area and local history. Everything seemed very well organised and we were met at the cruise terminal. Very safe & modern coach driven by Peter. Definitely recommend.
This excursion was 10/10! The caves were beautiful and so interesting! It was maybe a bit rushed to be there. Not much time to walk around or get food. All staff were very knowledgeable and it was easy to navigate around to find where you had to be.

The well lit train ride was longer than expected (about 10 minutes) and was more engaging than any amusement park in ride. The path inside the cave was nicely paved with hills and bridges. Petra was our excellent tour guide!
Amazing experience. Petra was a really knowledgeable guide and very friendly. A comfortable bus took us from our cruise ship to the cave entrance where we given our tickets by Petra (guide). This is a 45 mins drive. The cave involves a 7-10 min train ride which is a highlight by itself. The train goes through a few very narrow tunnels then into large open areas giving a glimpse of what is to come. Then you get off the train and walk through the caves for app 1.5km with an audio device explaining what you are seeing. It is truly an impressive sight. Don’t walk too slow since you can lose track of time. We were given 2hr to self explore the caves and it was just enough time with 2 kids. The caves end at a souvenir store. There is a paid bathroom (€1) as well. Then you get back on the train to exit the caves. Take this into consideration when time planning. Once outside there are a many restaurants and souvenir shops and free bathrooms. There you will meet the guide for the 15mins bus ride to the castle stop. This involves a 10-15 mins opportunity to take some beautiful photos of the castle from a distance. Then back on the bus for a 45 mins drive back to the cruise port.
The cave was amazing! I have never seen anything like that before. Well worth the trip. The photostop at the castle was fun but I wish I found a tour you could go into the castle.
