One of my favorite ways to experience a new city is through a food tour. Culture and food are always intertwined. This tour did not disappoint! Dana was amazing! It ended up being just my family of four on a beautiful day walking around Charleston learning lots of interesting historical tidbits and eating delicious food. We started at a beautiful Charleston hotel where we sat down and Dana immediately connected with my kids while we enjoyed some delicious biscuits! What I really appreciated is that she clearly has deep connections with lots of people in the city at the food stops and she modified what we ordered based on the 2 kids. It felt very personal and customized. When we go back to Charleston we will look for Dana again to see what other tour options she might have. Absolutely fabulous!

Your Streets and Eats experience begins in the lobby of the Loutrel Hotel, where you'll meet your City of Charleston-certified guide and get oriented for the tour. You'll Enjoy your first grab-and-go tasting, offering a flavorful introduction Lowcountry cuisine. With your first tasting in hand, you'll head out on foot into the French Quarter, one of Charleston's oldest and most storied neighborhoods. As you walk your guide will share local history neighborhood stories and contacts behind Charleston's food culture setting the stage for the tastings and sights to come.
After enjoying your first tasting on the move, you'll slow the pace at a relaxed sit-down stop. Here you'll enjoy a tasting inspired by classic Lowcountry cuisine, while learning about the history ingredients and culture cultural influences that shaped Charleston's food traditions. Water, fountain sodas, and iced tea are included at this stop. Guests may choose to purchase a libation separately if desired. This part of the tour will take you through the South of Broad neighborhood where you will spend time at the iconic Rainbow Row for photos and insight into one of the city's most beloved landmarks
The tour concludes with a locally made sweet treat from a family-owned dessert bar. As you enjoy this final grab-and-go tasting, your guide will share the story behind the family and the significance of the treat. Great experience with fantastic food!
Highly recommend Dana as a tour guide! We love walking tours as a way to see a new city, and it's all about the quality of the guide. She was immediately welcoming and easygoing when we arrived and started us off with a quick local snack before heading out. Dana has a deep knowledge of Charleston history - both past and present - and a compelling story-telling style to keep us interested - despite the oppressive heat on the day of our tour. We enjoyed both restaurant stops and had plenty to nibble on during the tour. A great way to spend your time in Charleston!

History and good food!
The food tour of Charleston was lots of fun. Dana was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. My favorite part was the dessert stop at the end! I had a cannoli. It was delicious!

Best tour guide in Charleston
Dana is a real expert. She is a wealth of knowledge and I was amazed by the depth of her insight of Charleston! I would highly recommend her tours and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on another one of her tours!

Streets and Eats Walking Tour
Dana is a wonderful tour guide and the experience was delicious and fun! The smaller group size of 6 was nice because it felt more personal and intimate. Even though it was a rainy day, Dana made sure everyone had an umbrella when we left the meeting location. The 2.5 hour tour was a perfect time length. It was leisurely, but not slow and we never got tired from long stretches of walking. Highly recommend!

Informative, tasty and fun tour
We had a brilliant time with Dana and Steven- learned so much and both our kids loved it I was worried they might not be interested in the history side of the tour but they loved that side as much as the food. Learnt about Charleston and bbq and just had a brilliant couple of hours. Recommend

Informative and Accommodating Tour!!!

Absolutely Fantastic Tour and Guide!
The Streets and Eats Walking Tour with Dana was exceptional. She was very personalble, organized, extremely knowledgable, and just an all around fun time. We came across hidden historical areas that we never would've found on our own. We ended our tour at Carmella's for some homemade Gelato and Cannolis. If you are even considering doing any one of her tours, I highly recommend you hit the button!
