I paid $190 and it was not worth it. Stale ham sandwich for breakfast, they forgot to pick someone up so we had to wait 1.5 hours which cut into the beach time. Staff wasn’t overly friendly. Snorkeling was extra $20 but was awesome, the beach and snorkeling made the day a bit better. Still very disappointed.
I was very hesitant booking this excursion at first due to other negative reviews but decided to just do it because we wanted an beach day…. It turned into the most fun day we’ve had all trip with amazing entertainment, lots of drinks, yummy food in an island, and great service. Yes the car ride to get to the beach is long and the boat ride is about 1 hour and 45 minutes but it’s sooooo worth it. You’re on the island from 11/11:30-4pm and it’s the best time ever. The boat ride was also extremely fun with a DJ and live entertainment from a retired dancer who is hilarious. We had the time of our lives!
We booked a last-minute tour (leaving the next day) to Tortunguero National Park. Juan Sanchez, operating out of the Gran Hotel in San Jose, was very helpful in laying out options for tours, places to see, things to do, etc. We took a tour bus to a dock, where we boarded a river boat to the Evergreen Lodge. We had a few activities included in our tour package, including lodging and meals. Diego, our tour guide, was fantastic. The whole trip — three days — was a fun adventure in the rain forest, and it was super easy because Juan put the whole trip together for us. I highly recommend Juan and Tico Travel if you’re looking for in-country arrangements.
Fun trip. Josue was our guide and he was very helpful. Didn't get to learn about the islands, but great friendly crew, with good food. Overall a great atmosphere. The captain of the boat even helped someone snorkel with her daughter!
Very nice tour with Tour and Adventure, very good experience leaving Puntarenas, very good guide, meals and snorkeling tour included. The Island dyes a very quiet white sand beach, there are no permanent services on the Island although they sell drinks and there are bathrooms paying. You can carry a small icebox. It is preferable to pay for an all-inclusive tour of San Jose or Puntarenas.
Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen. Put some on before you leave for the island. Put some on, on your way to the island. Put more on when you arrive. What an amazing experience. The island was stunning, the food was great. The accommodations and service were 5 stars. It was my second time going and I will always make it a priority when visiting Costa Rica
Changed the pick up point the night before after we selected our hotel So we went to new pick up for 5:30am Waited until 6:40am and no one showed up No communication at all Completely wasted our day
We regret that there was confusion, but as demonstrated on Viator, the misunderstanding was on your part. Our commitment is to ensure that every customer's experience is the best possible. Juan Sánchez
