Be ready for an early start to a long day in the sun and in the water. Nice tour if you are a beach person.
A great tourist tour! Nice staff with English and Spanish, arrival in minibuses, return trip in a large coach, snorkeling tour included, good food and a beautiful destination. The weather is just how it is, but cloudy is not bad; a long-sleeved shirt is recommended, especially when snorkeling, since sunscreen is easily washed off in saltwater —> sunburn. Delicious cocktails, inexpensive trip, many great experiences; the extras are left up to everyone themselves! With luck, also animal sightings on the boat tour. We experienced 2 turtles mating and saw a small group of dolphins!
The beach portion of this tour was absolutely fantastic, and Roy was great super friendly, attentive, and helpful. Lunch was just average/ok, but overall it was a really enjoyable day out thanks to the beach beautiful spot. The drive back from the beach was super long which it was out of their control. And prepare to take a uber if your hotel is not one of their pickup spots even though it could be a 5 min drive
Not a tour you should book if you don't know how to organize yourself. We didn't hear from or see our guide Luis all day. The guides on the boat were obviously drugged, and during the return transport, we had to make sure ourselves that we got on the right bus and went to the correct destination. The excursion would be great, but I would choose a different provider. And attention: the boat trip starts in Puntarenas. Not in Jacó as described!
Never got picked up. Not one answer about why or how to get refund. Not at the time I was waiting t the pick up spot and not after. When I called (which I did a lot) the phone was never answered. The lady from my hotel also tried. It looked like a good company but unfortunately it was the only bad thing that happened to me while my 4weeks trip in Costa Rica. They did take my money so still waiting on any reply. Sorry to put this here like this but it's the only thing I can do.
Excellent trip! We loved the beach and the lunch was fantastic! It was a very relaxing day to end a wonderful trip to Costa Rica!
The only nice thing about snorkeling. Wonderful the amount of fish and diversity. Turtle Island a total disappointment: coptada of carp that looks like an invasion of gypsies. The beach with clear water, but full of stones and broken sacks, and people everywhere. Good lunch, but for usd 90 should have included something better.
Our guide Percy was very knowledgeable, amusing, engaging, patient, and fun! We learned so much on the bus ride to the boat that the time seemed to fly by. He made sure we recognized our driver and boat operator for the behind the scenes work, which I thought was considerate. The food (breakfast on your own, lunch and fruit snack provided) was ok. I was glad for the regular availability of coffee given the early start. Snorkeling was great as was the dolphin watching from the boat. We got to see a family of dolphins up close! And of course the beach did not disappoint! We truly enjoyed this full day excursion!
Our tour guides are the best! I love how we were at the nice perfect spot on the island. The ambience is great, our guides are very accomodating.
Tour was fun! Got to see amazing fish snorkelling including a pufferfish. We also saw dolphins and a humpback whale, and our guides would follow the animals a little so we could see them. We also saw a crocodile on the way back. It did feel a little disorganised but other than that it was pretty good. If you have dietary needs they will try their best to adhere to them! Yes the toilets do cost, and so do the beach chairs. I think it was around $8 dollars for the chairs and around 500/600 colones for the toilets. It wasn’t extreme prices but just know this before booking so you have money on you.
