Meiji Jingu Shrine is said to be the most visited shrine in Japan for Hatsumode (New Year's visit). You will visit a shrine where you can feel the vastness of natural energy and the history and culture of the shrine. Your guide will explain in detail origins of this shrine and how to visit the shrine. By knowing the manners and history of worship, you can feel more familiar with Japanese culture. You are encouraged to collect "Goshuin"(red ink stamp) as well!
Moving on to modern Harajuku, we stroll down the iconic Takeshita Street. There are many fashionable and "kawaii" stores. Have you ever had a Japanese-style crepe? The Japanese-style crepe, which is filled with various ingredients and eaten with your hands, was born here in Harajuku. Enjoy the crepes as you stroll along.
From Takeshita Street, move to Shibuya, a 20-minute walk. Have an exciting experience and take pictures at the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, which needs no explanation!

Nori and Nikki were very nice and informative. They took us around Meiji Shrine and taught us the proper manners to enter the shrine and pray. Then we went to Takeshita street and Shibuya crossing.

We had such an amazing time going through the Meiji Shrine and learned so much from our guides, Nori and Yumi . They were so sweet. They went above and beyond for us and showed us places that were not on the itinerary but knew we wanted to see .
