Thanks Ms. Hitomi Kohara fof this amazing trip.
Our tour guide (for 4 of us) named Kyoe Tachibana from Japan Awaits was superb! It was our first day in Japan and we only had a cursory understanding of the best things to see in Tokyo. Kyoe completely understood and created a perfect one-day tour of the top sites in Tokyo and she was a wealth of information, kind, flexible and very patient. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and would highly recommend her and Japan Awaits. Japan Awaits connected us with Kyoe and another great guide. They were easy to work with and very responsive - also highly recommend for visitors to Japan.
Hitomi was my guide and it was hands down the best experience I ever had. She not only showed me hidden places that I would have never found on my own but also adjusted plans when I spontaneously saw an otaku activity I wanted to do. She was extremely polite, knowledgeable, kind and just great to spend a day with. I will never forget this tour and when I come back to Japan, I will absolutely book her again to show me more. Anyone looking for a super customizable tour that leaves you absolutely satisfied - this is it. The money is 10000% worth it. And request Hitomi. She deserves it :)
This trip was amazing! First, we customized our itinerary to the places we wanted to see, which was based on my son’s interests. This included locations, interests, and food. This is the best way to see exactly what you want to see. Second, our guide, Rieko, was fantastic! Even though she had developed our itinerary ahead of time, based on our choices, she adjusted as she found out more about what my son wanted to see and experience. Finally, as Rieko found out more about our interests during our day together, she sent out other points of interest for my son and I to see during our time in Japan. Such a fantastic day. I wish I would have booked our car tour with this group.
Our tour guide was organized, met us promptly with a sign, included everything we wanted to see plus more. She had prepaid metro tickets and kept an eye on us all the time. It was an awesome day!
We had the most wonderful introduction to Tokyo with this half day tour. The guide was extremely helpful and patient. His knowledge of history of fantastic. We had a wonderful morning.
We were hosted by the amazing Hitomi for our family tour. She was incredibly helpful and flexible throughout the whole day, especially when we needed to change up our plan on the go to accomodate tired 4 kids under 13. I could not have navigated the train system on our first day without her! She was super lovely with our kids and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend and I would do it again!
We loved the tour. Izumi was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour especially with Izumi !
Most memorable part of the tour was lunch at a traditional Japanese restaurant. I am a foodie and this is an experience every foodie should have.
I really enjoyed this tour. The use of public transportation should be a must for any tourist that wants to get a feeling of the city and the people. The temples were impressive and Isumi did a great job explaining the history and symbolisms. For me the highlight was lunch at a traditional restaurant in Asekusa. I am a foodie, and this meal was an experience that I will repeat.
