Tokyo Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident & Gojo vs Sukuna Tour

Description

Turn Jujutsu Kaisen from “I know that battle” into “I walked it.” This tour follows the story from the Shibuya Incident into the still-unanimated Shinjuku Showdown, so the geography, distances, and scale of these battlefields become real. We begin in Shibuya, walking through 7 decisive battlefields and turning points—including Gojo’s sealing, Yuji vs. Choso, Megumi vs. Toji, and Nanami’s final battle—with comparison images for precise matching. Then we ride to Shinjuku and follow Gojo and Sukuna’s battle as a line through the real city, from “YOU’RE THE CHALLENGER HERE.” / “I’M THE CHALLENGER?” through clashes of Domain Expansion to where that confrontation reaches its conclusion. For Jujutsu Kaisen fans, this is more than a photo stop. It is a real-world decode of battle geography, movement, and scale—led by a guide with anime-production experience. And because the Shinjuku Showdown has not yet reached the anime, you can experience its scale in reality first.

Itinerary

Admission included10 min

Shibuya Incident Briefing Before we start walking, I’ll give a short introduction to the Shibuya Incident locations we’ll visit today.

10 min

Toji & Jogo Strike Site Stand at the exact spot where Toji Fushiguro instantly sent Megumi Fushiguro flying—and where Jogo unleashed his devastating flames on Kento Nanami, Maki Zenin, and Naobito Zenin. The anime subtly alters the real-world layout here, and I’ll break down those “only-fans-notice” differences from an anime-production perspective. As a bonus, you can also observe Shibuya Scramble Crossing from nearby.

5 min

Not Zenin? Good for You. Step into the exact spot of Toji’s unforgettable final exchange with Megumi: “What’s your name?” — “Fushiguro.” Then, “Not Zenin? Good for you.” A legendary moment you can experience in the real city.

5 min

Furube Yurayura. I'm going to die first. Good luck. Stand at the exact spot where Megumi Fushiguro—left gravely injured by Haruta Shigemo—summons Divine General Mahoraga.

10 min

Itadori. I’ll leave the rest to you. Stand at the exact location of Kento Nanami’s final battle—after wandering in a badly burned state. Here, he fights while hallucinating a beach in Kuantan, Malaysia, defeats Mahito’s transfigured humans, and meets his end—right where Yuji Itadori watches.

5 min

Itadori. It wasn't so bad. Stand on the exact spot of Nobara Kugisaki’s pivotal moment.

Admission included5 min

Yuji Itadori. I will avenge my brothers. Stand on the exact spot where Yuji Itadori and Choso face each other for the first time—where Choso fires Piercing Blood, and where Yuji stops it with both arms. Step into the real city and feel the intensity of their fight.

Admission included10 min

Gojo’s Sealing Site We’ll visit the exact location where Satoru Gojo fought special-grade curses and curse users—where he unleashed Unlimited Void, and where he was ultimately sealed in the Prison Realm. To deepen immersion and reach the site smoothly, we’ll take the Tokyo Metro from Harajuku and access the battlefield directly.

Pass by

We’ll take the subway from Shibuya to Shinjuku to continue exploring the locations connected to the Shinjuku Showdown.

30 min

Shinjuku Showdown Walk “YOU’RE THE CHALLENGER HERE.” “I’M THE CHALLENGER?” We’ll trace the route of Gojo Satoru and Sukuna’s fierce battle through Shinjuku, from the opening of their showdown to the point where Gojo’s second Hollow Purple strikes Sukuna and Mahoraga. Experience the real scale of this climactic battle in the actual city—before it reaches the anime.

5/5 Stars - An Absolute Highlight of Our Japan Trip!

I cannot recommend this tour enough! I booked this for my 12-year-old, who is the big manga and anime fan in our family. I was initially a little worried that the duration might be too long for him, but I couldn't have been more wrong—he loved every single minute of it. It was incredibly interesting to see how the Japanese cityscape and day-to-day life serve as the foundation for so much manga. The guide did a brilliant job connecting real-world elements—from the style of writing seen around the city to the details of bento boxes—to the stories we see on the page and screen. The JJK part of the tour was a fantastic bonus that really made the experience special. We booked the longer tour, and JJK was what our kid was intially intrested it but he loved it all. Our guide was phenomenal. He arrived perfectly prepared and his English was a 10/10. Beyond the tour itself, he was thoughtful enough to reach out afterward with personalized suggestions for other spots we should check out based on my son’s specific interests. When we return to Japan, we will definitely be booking a private themed tour with them. The level of insight and care provided is top-tier. If you are considering this tour, just do it—it is fantastic!

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! As a guide, the best part for me was seeing your son stay so engaged and enjoy the tour all the way through. I was honestly impressed by how deeply he knows JJK — not just the characters and scenes, but the ideas behind the battles and the way he thinks about the story. Talking with him made the tour a lot of fun for me as well. I think JJK was the doorway into the experience, but if the tour also helped him enjoy Tokyo’s writing, cityscape, and everyday details in a new way, that makes me very happy. That is exactly what I hope AnimeScape can offer. When you come back to Japan, I would be very happy to create a private themed tour around his interests. Thank you again for joining us.

Best JJK thing I did in Tokyo

If you’re into JJK, this might honestly end up being the most fun thing you do in Tokyo. Tokyo already has a ton of exciting stuff, but this hit differently for me. I’m a big Gojo fan, so I really appreciated how flexible the guide was when I said I wanted a little more time at the Gojo-related spots. We also timed the Prison Realm stop well enough that I got a lot of photos without too many people around, which was honestly great. Posting a few here because that part was especially cool. What also stood out was how prepared everything felt. Shibuya and Shinjuku are both basically mazes, but the whole tour moved super smoothly. The guide also brought printed anime scene shots, and holding those up while taking real photos at the actual locations was ridiculously fun. He also shared a Google Maps list for official JJK merch, which was genuinely useful after the tour. And the Shinjuku battle route felt surreal in the best way. Looking at those packed skyscrapers in real life, I honestly still can’t picture how they’re going to animate all that destruction. Can’t wait for Gojo vs. Sukuna.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I’m really happy you enjoyed the Gojo-related spots. Seeing you match the anime scene shots with the real locations was a lot of fun for me as a guide as well. I really can’t wait to see the Shinjuku Showdown animated. When it finally comes out, I hope you’ll look back at the Shinjuku photos you took and remember this tour.

The JJK experience I’ll remember most

You can get an incredibly full JJK experience in just two hours. During my trip I did a lot of “Japanese” experiences, and many of them were interesting or even amazing, but as a JJK fan, this was the one I’ll remember most. There’s something so cool about seeing anime and manga blend into the real city. My favorite spots were the place where Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm and the starting point of the Gojo vs. Sukuna battle. Both felt unreal in the best way. Narta also gave me an original Tokyo guidebook he made himself, and it was honestly so useful. It had all kinds of fun local recommendations, but the ramen list was especially incredible. I tried one shop in Shinjuku and one in Akasaka, and both were among the best ramen I’ve ever had. Absolutely recommended.

Operator response

Thank you so much for the review. I’m really glad the tour became such a memorable part of your trip. It also made me very happy to hear that the guidebook was useful after the tour, especially the ramen list. I’m glad those Gojo spots stayed with you, and it’s great to know the Shinjuku and Akasaka recommendations were a success. Thanks again for joining.

A Perfect JJK Experience for Me and My Daughter

My daughter is a huge JJK fan, so I booked this tour for her, and it ended up being such a fun experience for both of us. Seeing so many Shibuya Incident locations in real life was honestly amazing. My daughter even rewatched the arc as soon as we got back to the hotel. She loves Choso, so one of her favorite moments was taking a photo in the same Piercing Blood pose. She was also excited to see the toilet location from the Yuji vs. Choso fight, although she was a little disappointed that she obviously could not go inside the men’s restroom. What I liked most was that we could really feel the actual scale of the battles and how complicated the route through Shibuya is. Shibuya really is like a maze, and there is no way we could have found all of this by ourselves. You might be able to look up some of the spots online, but actually walking through Shibuya and finding them is a completely different experience. Narta guided us through everything so smoothly, which made a huge difference. The Shinjuku Showdown part was also fantastic. It feels completely different from Shibuya, and that made it even more interesting. Narta brought manga volumes so we could follow the Gojo vs. Sukuna battle while looking at the actual pages, which made it even more exciting. We seriously cannot wait for the anime adaptation, and we ended up taking so many photos and videos so we can remember the real locations later. Narta was also incredibly kind to my daughter, and that made the whole experience even more special for her. This was such a memorable part of our Tokyo trip, and I would definitely recommend it to JJK fans.

Thank you so much for this wonderful and thoughtful review. I’m especially happy to hear how much your daughter enjoyed the tour. Choso fans always have a great reaction at that spot, and seeing that excitement is always one of the happiest parts of guiding this experience for me. I’m also very glad you enjoyed both Shibuya and Shinjuku in such different ways. When the Shinjuku Showdown is finally animated, I hope you and your daughter will look back at your photos and videos and remember the real places you walked together. Thank you again for joining.
