Experience a professional kimono photoshoot in the historic district of Asakusa, Tokyo. Dressed in traditional attire, you'll explore iconic locations including Sensō-ji Temple, traditional shopping streets, and hidden corners that showcase the charm of old Tokyo. Your experience begins at our partner store, Yae Kimono Rental. A standard kimono rental is included, featuring a kimono or yukata, accessories, and hairstyling for women. Premium upgrades are available for an additional fee. Your photographer will provide posing guidance throughout the session, making the experience enjoyable for all skill levels. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families. After the shoot, receive 35+ professionally edited digital photos delivered online. Kimono sizing is generally available for guests with bust, waist, and hip measurements up to 150 cm each. Please contact us before booking if you have sizing concerns.

You will spend the first 1 hour carefully selecting and being fitted with a beautiful traditional Kimono
We will take photos throughout the Shotengai (Japanese shopping street) from the Edo Period (over 200 years ago!).
We will take photos at the ancient gate with the gods of wind and thunder - a must see when visiting Asakusa!
We will take beautiful shots with the bright red colours of the famous Senso-ji Temple.

Great keepsake of our time in Tokyo! Yae kimono shop was very accommodating as we decided which patterns and colors we liked best. They were great! Craig was waiting for us in the shop when we were done getting dressed. He was patient and kind and didn’t mind stopping at places I really loved to take a couple of pictures. Recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity with a keepsake you can keep for a lifetime!
