I prefer a better indepth history
Thanks for the… “review”! We also prefer a little more depth. “I prefer a better history” is about as detailed as saying, “The food could’ve been a better.” Better how? We spend roughly 2.5 hours covering the rise, peak, and fall of Prohibition, along with the social, political, and cultural forces that shaped it. If there was a topic you wanted to dive deeper into, all you had to do was ask. Our guides love those questions and are pretty hard to stump. For future guests: this is a 3.5-hour experience, not a college lecture. The evening is designed to balance history with cocktails, conversation, and time to enjoy some of New York City’s hidden gems. If you’re looking for an engaging night out with plenty of history and the freedom to ask as many questions as you’d like, you’ll fit right in. If you’re looking for a dissertation with footnotes… we hear the local library is lovely… but a little dry.

If you're even thinking about booking this Speakeasy Tour in New York City... do it! It was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Walter was an incredible tour guide. He was hilarious, engaging, and unbelievably knowledgeable. His stories and the history he shared brought each stop to life, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. We visited four amazing speakeasies, each with its own hidden entrance, unique atmosphere, and fantastic vibe. Half the fun was discovering the secret doorways, and every location was better than the last. We laughed, learned, and had an unforgettable evening. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat—over and over again. If I could give Walter a Spinal Tap 11 out of 10, I absolutely would! Thank you, Walter, for an unforgettable night. We can't recommend this tour highly enough!

Arielle was amazing. We had an incredible time on this bar tour! From start to finish, everything was well organized, fun, and stress-free. The bars were all great choices with a fun atmosphere, good music, and delicious drinks. Our tour guide Arielle truly made the experience unforgettable. Arielle were friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt included and had an amazing time. She kept the group moving smoothly while still allowing us to relax and enjoy each stop. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everyone had the best experience. If you’re looking for a fun way to experience the local nightlife, meet new people, and visit some great spots, I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our evening, and I would absolutely do it again!
