A must-do for beer lovers!
This tour was a high point of our visit to Montréal. Since the tour was just my husband and myself, our experience was completely personalized. Our guide, Julien, was fantastic! He matched the tastings to our preferences while providing a well rounded sampling. He shared brewing history along with Montréal specific points of interest. As we went from brewery to brewery, we walked through beautiful and lively neighborhoods. It was an afternoon of great nibbles, brews, and company.

Its a sad situation that the same company had two tours organised for the same route at the same time... one with just 3 customers, one with 5.... it made no sense to split the groups,... some contention between the two guides led to a split that benefited nobody,... our tour of three was in dire need of some group social vibes,... our guide was struiggling to make it a jovial trip given only three attendees.... more thought required.

Exceeded Expectations!
We had an excellent tour with Gabriel and Reed. They were extremely knowledgeable about the beers and breweries, as well as the history of how and why the beer scene is the way it is in Quebec.
It exceeded our expectations, and I recommend this to anyone with an interest in beer or in history. We learned so much, and not just about beer. Bravo!
Operator response
Thank you, Aaron! We're thrilled to hear Gabriel and Reed made your experience so memorable. It's wonderful you enjoyed both the history and the beer insights. Your recommendation means a lot to us!

Good variety of beers to sample on a 3 hour tour with an interesting and engaging guide
Gabriel is an amazing host providing details the beers you will sample, the breweries and their history as well stories of the Latin Quarter that you walk through between bars.
Food provided in each location was of a high standard and the right portion sizes for pairing with the ales.
The additional of a 4th bar visit (Pamplemousse) was a real bonus to a tour that offers great value.
We will go definitely back and revist at least 2 of the bars that hosted us.
Operator response
Thank you! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the tour with Gabriel and appreciated the selection of beers and food. Your feedback is highly appreciated!

Don't Take This Tour
This is not a tour I would recommend to anyone. The guide did his best, but the tour company has not taken the time to make the experience worth the money. Beer is not great and for the most part it is NOT local. Food is not great. Locations were awful. Find your own pub and go.
Operator response
Dear Nancy,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact our customer service team so we can address your concerns and work to improve our services.
We'd like to note that the beer served on our tour is made on location by some of the most reputable breweries in Montréal. You truly couldn’t enjoy a more local product.
We understand if the poutine wasn't to your liking. I will personally contact the guide and the brewery to understand what happened. Thank you for your sincere review; we appreciate your feedback and will work with our beer experts and brewpubs to ensure our service meets the highest standards.
Best regards,

Informative
I’ve been on a few of these type of tours and it is the host that makes it or breaks it. I’m this case, the host was superb. He was very outgoing and knew all things beer and Montreal. He pushed the rating up at least one and more like 2.
It is a walking tour, I know, but the walk to the last location was too long. We did stop along the way and got some interesting info about Montreal, but surely there was a closer craft brewery?
Also, it was only 2 samples at the first 2 bars. It was 2 drinks at the last one as well, but they were regular sized drinks and not just samples. Any other tour I’ve been in had a minimum of a full flight of 4.
On the plus side, I was fed much better on this brewery tour than any other I’ve been on. We had poutine, nachos, cheese and chocolate.
Operator response
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you found the host superb and enjoyed the informative aspect of the tour. We'll take your comments about the length of the walk and the sample sizes into consideration for future improvements. However, we're pleased to hear you enjoyed the food offerings. Hope to see you again on another tour soon!
Best,
