After being welcomed by our Guide in your hotel we will head in the direction of Savoca crossing two small villages Sant Alessio and Santa Teresa, we will reach Savoca. This very small town full of treasures will offer and welcome us the Vitelli bar where several scenes of FF Coppola's The Godfather were filmed, the bar is submerged with photos that speak of the film, after we will head towards the church of Santa Lucia to visit where the wedding between Appolonia and Michael Corleone took place... We will still see, we will visit the Capuchin crypt which houses several mummies in a small catacomb.
Moving on from Savoca, we reach Forza d'Agro, a town also featured in the film The Godfather; it features prominently in all three films. The town will welcome us with its recent history, linked to The Godfather itself. We'll also have the opportunity to revisit all the scenes filmed in Forza d'Agro. Dinner is available (NOT included in the price). If everyone wants, we can stay for lunch!

It’s a low stress, fun experience w Marcello and friends for anyone who enjoyed the Godfather trilogy. Marcello has an awesome sense of humor and knows the movies and towns inside and out. The day was full of insights, many questions and answers and a nice snack at the Bar Vitelli. Will be a day we remember.

We didnt get to go. 👎🏼 There wasnt a pick up. No way to get there on time to make the tour. Went with the boat tour

Our tour guide Marcello was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about the filming of The Godfather and of the two towns we visited. Everyone wants to take a picture in the bar's arch way. In order to enter the enclosed patio area to take a picture in front of the arch entrance, which wasn't enclosed a few years back, you must sit and buy something to drink. The interior building had many photos of the filming and quite quaint. Starting in January you must have a ticket to enter the patio area. Walk up to the church, if you are capable, to get the full experience. Along the way see the remains of one of the first synagogues in Sicily. It was a lovely experience touring the two cities.

As a fan of the movie it was incredible to hear about and see two filming locations chosen by Mario Puzo and Frances Ford Copella. Truly stunning views from these towns as they sit high up on the hillside. One sitting over 400 meters above sea level. Our tour guide, Marcello, did an incredible job getting us to our locations and was so informative. Loved all of it.

Fantastic tour. Funny & charismatic Marcello took us on a detailed tour of not only the godfather sights but info into Sicilian life.

A great half day out, shame we lost an hour going and return, picking up guests. However 4 hour trip was fun and informative, guide was brilliant throughout, recommend to all, even if mot a godfather fan, bar and church worth the visit plus lovely old Town. Think the tour could be expanded to include a one hour at own expense lunch break, or do a deal with bistro in town to include lunch and drink.
Grazie mille per la vostra aculata recensione... Il tour 27 anni fà nasceva di pomeriggio con la sosta al ristorante di Forza D'agrò, ma poi con il tempo le cose sono cambiate! NON tutti vogliono sedersi al ristorante e non tutti vogliono pranzare... Cosa fanno le altre persone che non vogliono sedersi a mangiare? Cosa facciamo se i costi lievitano anche di parecchio! Nessuno vorrà fare più il tour Provato già molte volte... Grazie a tutti-
Marcello was absolutely outstanding! He was very informative and had a great personality. The tour brought us to many places from the movies. We learned a lot from him about the history. Unfortunately, we were in a group with some people that didn’t make it easy for him, but he managed to still make it entertaining for the rest of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
