The Best of York on Foot in a Small Group

Description
Why follow the crowds? At Yorktour we believe a great tour should also be a fun conversation, which is why we guarantee there will be no more than eight participants so everyone can ask questions and no-one needs to worry about being left at the back! This family-friendly walking tour includes all the key sights - including the exterior of the Minster and the celebrated Shambles - though we will also lead you deep into the medieval maze of ‘Snickelways’ to follow in the footsteps of the Romans and Vikings who created York. Above all, our tours rely on great storytelling rather than gimmicks - so if we can’t remember everyone’s names there must be too many people taking part!

We booked a walking tour with York Tours as part of a large family reunion in York in June and it was one of the the highlights of our weekend. Alfred's enthusiasm, knowledge , humour and energy were just fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
Lovely and informative tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. I did wish we had gotten to a few more spots around the city.
My wife and I took the tour with Sarah. There were two others with us, so a nice small group. Sarah was very knowledgeable about the area and the tour was done at a fairly relaxed pace, to suit all levels of fitness 😉. Whenever we visit somewhere knew we always book a local to show us around. This was no exception and Sarah did not disappoint. Would highly recommend 👌
We were never bored. Our guide was very good. It's a slow pace and we were given history, facts, entertainment and humour. This tour showed us bits of York we wouldn't have otherwise. Recommend fully.
Our guide was Ferrah and she did a very nice job walking us thru history of the town and showing some highlights from hat helped us to decide what we wanted to see more off.
Really interesting. Friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Ferah, our guide was very knowledgeable. She shared not only historical and local information, but made it in an easy and enjoyable way to take it all in. The walk was easy and we walked thru places that a non local would never know that's there. Wish that it was longer as there was so much more to learn. Definitely recommend this. Love the smaller group dynamics
Our guide was Ferah and she was fantastic. Total group ended up being just my daughter and I along with Ferah. She was so knowledgeable and informative on the history of York. I peppered her with questions and she had an answer for all of them. She was great and I would recommend to anyone.
Fabulous tour. Very thorough knowledge of tour guide explained extremely well. Open to questions raised. Thoroughly recommended.
If you’re short on time in York then this is the tour for you. Our guide Sara was very knowledgeable and pointed out the key historical highlights during the 90 minutes.
