Taronga Zoo Entry & Return Ferry - Sydney Harbour

Excellent trip to Taronga Zoo. The Captain Cook ferry was very clean and right on time. The zoo was very impressive and enjoyable. We are not huge fans of zoos but we really appreciated Taronga’s commitment to conservation, education, and stewardship. The animals are treated well and given plenty of space. Food for humans is adequate ;-)

Super easy on and off at the ferry, beautiful views of the bridge and opera house. The zoo was amazing, spent the whole day there. There are various animal encounters you can donate to and see animals up close: koalas, dingos, giraffes, just to name a few. I definitely recommend this experience. Exceeded all expectations.

I had a really great day at Taronga Zoo and enjoyed every minute of it. The zoo is beautiful, very well kept, and has such a great setting overlooking Sydney Harbour. There’s plenty to see, and it’s a lovely place to spend a few hours just walking around and enjoying the animals and the views. The ferry ride from Sydney was a great part of the experience too. It was easy to find and very convenient, and the views of the harbour along the way were fantastic. It’s a nice way to arrive at the zoo rather than just taking a car or bus. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful, and the map made it easy to find our way around. One tip: take the bus up after getting off the ferry, especially if you don’t want to walk up the steep hill. Then you can enjoy a much easier walk back down through the zoo. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable day, with the zoo, the animals, and the beautiful Sydney Harbour views all in one experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney, especially families and anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife. Absolutely worth doing!

Clean, great exhibitions....simple to navigate with the help of the zoo map. Friendly volunteers and staff, great food options at the food center.

Nice ferry ride . Zoo had a nice variety of animals and grounds . Seal show was great ! Interesting old buildings snd reptiles.

First, the ride across the harbor was lovely. I like being on the water anyway but seeing Sydney from the harbor was nice. Second, the bus ride up to the top of the zoo was a really good idea. Third, the zoo itself is amazing. The enclosures for the animals are obviously well kept and the animals themselves are clearly well taken care of. Every staff member I spoke with there was friendly and helpful and I learned a lot. After 3 weeks of travel, I was pretty tired so I didn't see as much of the zoo as I would have liked. But I'm coming back to Australia next year and I'm hoping to visit again. I do recommend this excursion very highly.

It is pretty and pleasant, the ferry experience was also pleasant. The Zoo has a lot of variety of animals and it was interesting to see unique species.

Taronga Zoo is a magical place. Easy ferry ride and entrance to the zoo. Very relaxing to stroll around to see all of their amazing animals and shows. The views from the top are stunning.

Check the wharf location. Get there early to understand the schedule. I would do this again but would have understood the schedule better to not miss the first ferry.

Ticket collection was really easy. Ferry transit and zoo entry was all simple, with plenty of times available when leaving the zoo to travel back to the circular quay port.
