The first is above Kotor, the other is above St.Stefan Unique town-hotel is the most extraordinary. It is Montenegro’s the most photographed place. A fortified island village connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway, its photogenic jumble of 15th-century stone villas overlooks an impeccable pink-sand beach and tempting turquoise waters. In its composition, this city has three churches and all old houses are restored in luxuriously decorated villas that attract the world's jet set. It s glory to the world is presented by famous actors, singers like: Sofia Loren, Jeremy Irons, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Claudia Schiffer, David Beckham, Novak Djokovic who were the guests of this magical peninsula. In Budva Old Town we will have Walking Tour (45min), with some free time (45min). The city known as The Queen of Mediterrane also is recognized as Montenegrin’s Miami. It has been settled since the 5th century BC. The heart of Budva and it’s immage are in Old Town which lies on a small peninsula and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage. Stone houses and churches, the maze of narrow streets and the small green gardens surrounded by city walls from all sides - makes Budva a typical medieval coastal town. Many cultural monuments in the Old Town left a testimony of tumultuous history: the remains of Antic necropolis, Hipokaust, the Church of Santa Maria “In Punta”, church of St.Sava and many others. Old Town Budva, sandy beaches and the only island nearby “St. Nikola " make a beautiful ambience.
After exploring of Old Town Budva, our ride to Kotor (30 min) passes beside famous beach Jaz, one of the most beautifull sandy beaches on the world, the place where even famous „Madonna“ and „Rollingstones“ had their concerts. This journey ends with Kotor Walking Tour (60 min). Kotor is magical medieval city situated at the end of Boka Kotorska Bay, one of the 25 most beautiful bays in the world. It is a gem of the Adriatic coast, a city on the UNESCO World Heritage List, heavily fortified with the 4,5 km long city walls, built from 9th till 19th century. couldn't find the driver, very poor instructions where to meet. After an hour finally met our driver who was supposed to be holding a sign and never had one. Cancelled our tour.
Dear Pamela, We are very sorry that this situation occurred, but we would also like to clarify a few important details regarding your reservation. The tour you booked normally starts in Kotor. However, your booking was made for pickup in Bar, which is approximately 60 km from Kotor. Although Bar is outside our usual departure area for this tour, we wanted to accommodate your request and therefore specifically arranged both a vehicle and a licensed guide to travel from Kotor to Bar for your pickup. Our guide was at the Port of Bar at the agreed time waiting for you. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding regarding the exact meeting point and you were unable to locate each other immediately, despite being in telephone contact. You eventually met after approximately 40 minutes, not after one hour as stated in the review. We acknowledge that the meeting instructions and identification could have been clearer, and we sincerely apologize for this. However, once you and our guide finally met, the vehicle and guide were ready to proceed with the tour. At that point, you decided not to continue with the excursion. Despite the fact that we had already incurred the additional costs of sending both the vehicle and guide from Kotor to Bar specifically for your booking, we chose not to charge you for any of these costs. As a gesture of goodwill and because customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, we accepted all expenses ourselves and issued you a 100% refund. We are genuinely sorry that you did not experience the tour we had prepared for you. We have also taken your comments regarding meeting-point instructions seriously and will use this experience to make our pickup procedures even clearer in the future. We wish you all the best and hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay in Montenegro. Kind regards, Montis Tours
Our guide Sanja was great! Very knowledgeable and passionate about her country. However, we booked a guided tour for 5 people but we had to split into 2 cars and the 2nd car was not a guide only a drive. So 2 if our group did not get the knowledge the rest of us got. And the 2nd car did not have a/c. I don't find this acceptable
Dear Lori, Thank you on your review. We don't think so that we deserve it. We provided you 2 climatised cars with 2 driver. One of them is tourguide and the second is English speaking driver. For transfers you were separated in 2 cars, but on the Kotor and Budva walking tours you were all together. Also, on your demand, you have got extra 1 Hour lunch time in Budva and it wasn't charged. You should tip your driver and tourguide instead. During the years we had few similar situations and noone ever complained. As you said, Sanja did a great tourguide job which is the most important. You visited and explored everything what this tour includes. Thank You once again for being our guests. We hope so that you will visit Montenegro again. You are welcome!
Exactly what we wanted. Picked up at the port entrance by Luka and taken in his car to see Sveti Stefan then back to Budva for a walking tour, which was excellent. Small detour on the way back for a splendid panoramic view of Kotor, then an informative walking tour of Kotor. Yes, Kotor itself is easy to do on your own, only a short distance from the port via a pedestrian underpass, but unless you have a local guide like Luka you'd miss so much. Very enjoyable.
Our guide picked us up right at the port. We walked around old town Kotor and then drove to Budva. There we toured the old town as well. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of historical information.
Our guide was outstanding!! She is knowledgeable and passionate about her country. She provided terrific insights into the country's history.
Wonderful tour! our guides were very informative about the sites in Kotor. Needed to stop at a pharmacy, our guide was VERY helpful with translating the information on the cold medicine! Loved the Old town & the stops on the way back to New town & the port. Highly recommend this tour. Perfect for 2 people!
Our local guide was excellent in explaining the history of these fascinating old towns! She paced the tour comfortably for us seniors, while being comprehensive as well. Very much enjoyed this tour!
