Itinerary
We start from our meeting point at 9:00 am. To reach the amazing views of the Bay of Kotor and conquer Lovćen Mountain we will take the Cable Car, overlooking the famous Old Austro-Hungarian serpentine road from 1884 offering spectacular views of Kotor and Tivat Bays - an unforgettable start to an amazing day!
Due to windy weather, Cable Car ride can be canceled and instead we will take an old Austo-Hungarian road to reach the Njeguši village.
After admiring the magnificent Bay of Kotor, we continue our Great Montenegro tour over the slopes of Mt. Lovćen to reach the most famous village in Montenegro - Njeguši, where the best prosciutto (smoked ham) in the region is produced. Along our winding road path we pass a number of original 300+ year old Montenegrin stone houses. Don’t be surprised to see cows and goats grazing, resting, running around or even blocking the road in the surrounding fields and slopes. Around 09.30 am everybody should be ready for a short breakfast/snack at the oldest restaurant in Montenegro - first opened in 1881. But before you grab a bite, your guide will invite you to enjoy a free traditional RAKIJA shot (strong local brandy), just to start your day off better * Pre/post high season only
After a short rest and excellent traditional food, we’ll be ready to continue our Great Montenegro tour towards the Lovćen peaks. To conquer this "Sea of rocks", we’ll drive through the National Park of Lovćen and reach the well-known Lake Peak located at an altitude of 1.660 meters.
On top of the second-highest and imposing peak of Lovćen sits the officially highest mausoleum in the world - where the greatest Montenegrin ruler and poet Petar II Petrović Njegoš rests in peace.
During the walking tour, the guide will lead you through the most important monuments that are distinguished by their beauty and historical relevance - Monastery of Cetinje, King Nikola’s Palace, Court Church at Ćipur, and Biljarda (residence of Peter II Petrović Njegoš) where we enter to see concrete relief of Montenegro built by Austro-Hungarian army during WWI.
We continue towards the Crnojević River for some astonishing photo shots, a scenic boat ride, and, a timely lunch break! Here we are about to enjoy our scenic and relaxing boat ride. As the Crnojević River contributes directly to Skadar Lake, we’ll get the sense of the similar lush vegetation, water lilies, and dynamic birdlife as if we were at the lake itself.
The big attraction on the Riviera of Budva is Sveti Stefan. The former fishing village situated on a peninsula became an exclusive luxury hotel-town 50 years ago where non-guests are not allowed to enter. We have just enough time to enjoy the beauty of the island and to caption it in a photo from a *viewpoint above* the island. * pre/post season only*

Overall, we really enjoyed the tour, despite the long day. It felt like a genuine tour experience because the guide accompanied us to the sites and provided information along the way rather than simply dropping us off. Nina was interactive, personable, informative, and funny. We were also lucky that our group blended together well, which made the experience even better. The day is long, as advertised, and although the Horseshoe was beautiful, we probably could have skipped the boat ride. We also didn’t realize that swimming was an option, so unfortunately we missed that. It may be worth making that more noticeable in the tour information. One thing to be aware of is the number of additional fees. The tour price can add up quite a bit. I didn’t realize that choosing the funicular would cost extra, and there were also additional fees for the park entrance and mausoleum. There are 573 stairs to the mausoleum, which Nina did a great job reminding everyone about. Also, these fees require cash, so we had to find an ATM and pay an additional ATM fee. My biggest issue was the lunch. I felt we were pressured (only one option offered), which I felt was overpriced, and the food was fairly bland. I would recommend the fish—it does have bones, but it appeared to the best option. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and felt that Nina and the group experience really made the long day worthwhile!
Visit to amazing places that allows you to get with an image of the country. Slavko was an excellent guide, who passed us various knowledge about the history of Montenegro. It's a pity we haven't stayed a little longer in Lovcen National Park. I recommend the experience
Fantastic day trip with really friendly guides, modern transport and awesome views and history of the country!
The best tour operator in all of Montenegro ! I took three tours with 360 and I must say I enjoyed every single tour from start to end. From booking the tours to the actual day of the tour , the staff is always in contact with you updating you on any important information you should know about your tour . I contacted them regularly via WhatsApp and their response has always been prompt , swift and concise. I did the Great Montenegro tour, the Kotor cruise tour and the Northern Montenegro tour. They were all crafted meticulously by the staff and the sights and places of interest handpicked for maximum enjoyment by the guests. I learnt so much about Montenegro through these tours and advise anyone staying in Kotor to take them to fully appreciate the history and culture of this beautiful country. Many thanks to all the staff at 360 especially Nina, Nadia, Milos and Igor for being such amazing, friendly and knowledgeable tour guides. Their company was great and they made our tour experience more exciting and exhilarating. This is my second time in Montenegro and it now feels more like home than a foreign country . Looking forward to my third visit !
Wonderful time with very knowledgeable guilds! "Nina" and "Kazim" had a great information on history of Yugoslavia and present situation! Time oriented and organized! Thank you!
Nina was an excellent guide—professional, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated throughout the tour. She described herself as a "tough" Montenegrin woman, and she absolutely lived up to it. Her confidence, responsibility, and great sense of humor made the trip both enjoyable and memorable. Thank you, Nina!
Great day with tour guide Nina, who was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour! It’s a long day but with a great driver in a comfortable air conditioned bus and just the right amount of stops to showcase some amazing places in this beautiful country. I’m sure I won’t remember all the facts about the history of Montenegro but found it fascinating nonetheless. Thanks again to Nina who was a truly exceptional guide
Very good experience with Milo who did he best to show us the country and made us comfortable throughout the day. The group in my tour are also awesome. We became good friends in the end.
My husband, our eight-year-old son, and I took the Great Montenegro Tour with 360 Monte, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. This full-day excursion (about 12 hours) offers the perfect balance of breathtaking scenery and fascinating history. We visited stunning national parks, enjoyed a relaxing boat ride on Lake Skadar, explored Montenegro’s historic old capital, and made several other memorable stops along the way. Our guide, Milo, was truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history, culture, and traditions of Montenegro with genuine passion and pride. His enthusiasm was contagious and made us feel deeply connected to the country and its people, turning an already beautiful tour into a truly meaningful experience. If you’re looking for an incredible way to experience Montenegro, I can’t recommend this tour and tour agency enough.
This is a fantastic tour. So much included and really well organised. Nina our tour guide was probably the best tour guide we have had. I can highly recomend !
