Shirley Heights is a restored military lookout and gun battery. The Lookout is a high point (about 490 ft.) that affords a superb view of English and Falmouth Harbours, the best view in Antigua. In this fantastic place every Thursday and Sunday at sunset you will have the opportunity to attend 2 typical Caribbean concerts: the first of calypso music and the second of mixed songs interpreted in a reggae key. At the Shirley Heights bar you can taste the best cocktails in all of Antigua, including the Rum Punch. The photo you can take at sunset will be an indelible memory of your holiday and this day.

Car journey longer than party
We were travelling for nearly 2 hrs each way so ended up having only 2& 1/2 hrs at sunset party ,if we had known this we would have booked direct travel to & from event!!!

Thank you for your review. We would like to clarify a few important points for future guests.
This experience is clearly advertised as a SHARED round-trip transfer, with a maximum of only 7 guests per vehicle. As with any shared transfer, other guests may need to be picked up and dropped off along the route. A shared transfer cannot therefore be compared with travelling directly by private taxi.
We would also like to clarify the statement that the journey took “nearly 2 hours each way.” Antigua is a small island and a direct drive from one side of the island to the other does not normally take two hours. The overall transfer time necessarily includes the additional pick-ups and drop-offs required for guests travelling on the same shared service.
Most importantly, the advertised time at Shirley Heights is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and you received the full 2 hours and 30 minutes at the event, calculated from arrival at the entrance. This is clearly stated in the itinerary.
The tour description does not state that guests will travel directly and non-stop from their accommodation to Shirley Heights. That would be a private transfer, rather than the shared service booked.
We fully respect that some travelers may prefer a direct journey with no additional stops, and for them a private transfer would be the more suitable option. However, the shared transportation and the full 2 hours and 30 minutes at Shirley Heights were provided exactly as advertised and booked.

Our guide Monica was...
Our guide Monica was excellent the drive over was very bumpy but she handled it great and felt very safe. The views from Shirley Heights are stunning the sunset brilliant. Steel band and singer were Excellent, drinks reasonably priced. We didn’t eat as the queues were ridiculous but it looked lovely and again reasonably priced. I can imagine at the height of season it gets very very busy. Well worth a trip though

Brilliant night
We thoroughly enjoyed Shirley heights, it was honestly the highlight of our holiday. Such a friendly atmosphere, the vibe was amazing, and the food was so flavourful. I would highly recommend a visit to Shirley Heights.
