Green Island is by far a natural pearl of the Caribbean Sea. It is an ecosystem protected by the government of Antigua, a paradise for those who love nature and dream beaches. After relaxing on the beach we will have the opportunity to see the turtles that emerge from the water to breathe, an indescribable emotion, it will seem to be inside a documentary, do not believe your eyes. Next we will reach natural sea pools with crystal clear water. Finally we will reach the famous beach of Emerald Cove, reachable EXCLUSIVELY BY SEA, where we will see the great starfish of the Caribbean (not guaranteed).

IMPORTANT: from Royalton CHIC and Sandals, the meeting will be ONLY by the main gate on the main road, NOT POSSIBLE by the reception/lobby. The meeting time can change, if it happens, you will receive an email through Viator/TripAdvisor. RESORT: The guide will wait for you directly at the reception of your resort or you will receive an email specifying the most accessible place possible. If you don't receive any communication from us, the appointment will be at the reception of your resort at the time on your reservation. CRUISE SHIP PASSENGER: the meeting point is in front of the shop EXOTIC ANTIGUA, one minutes walking time from the gate of the cruise ship pier.

Incredible! What a great trip and highly recommended. Our guide, Marco - who is a marine biologist - couldn't have been more helpful and made the trip relaxing and fun as he shared his knowledge of Antigua's ecosystem with us. We went in the morning and had the whole island/beach/bay to ourselves as we snorkeled around seeing turtles and rays and lot of fish. We had plenty of time there, no rush, just pure relaxation and recreation. You can snorkel, or just use one of floats to relax on the water and feel like civilization is a million miles away. One great advantage of this trip and going in the morning is that you get to experience the island waters before the big catamarans/party boats show up. They showed up at the very end of our time there, so we took a short ride to the other side of the island for a little more of the deserted island feel. A really wonderful, relaxing and fun trip. Can't recommend it enough!
Marco led us on a fantastic experience swimming with the sea turtles on Green Island. He picked us up and gave us an impromptu tour of the island as we drove to the dock, using his knowledge of the local neighborhoods, villages, plants, and animals to help us get to know the island a little better. When we arrived at the dock, we were met by Devon and whisked away to Green Island, pointing out some of the sights along the way. When we arrived at the beach, Devon and I had a far-ranging conversation about the local climate, then we got ready for our snorkeling. Marco is a marine biologist, and helped our group find the sea turtles quickly. Swimming alongside them was so amazing and peaceful! We were having so much fun, we only gave ourselves a short break on the beach for some water and cookies, and then we headed back into the water for more sea turtles! On the way back, we stopped by some of the beautiful turquoise "underwater pools" at the mouth of Nonsuch Bay to have a look from the boat. It was a wonderful excursion, and I would absolutely do it again. Bring a towel, plenty of sunscreen, and an underwater case for your phone if you want to take your own pictures/videos.
I booked my trip the day before and received confirmation within an hour. I received exact instruction on the times and where to meet Martina. Martina was an amazing host who looked after us throughout the trip. The boat trip only had 6 people so was nice an intimate, the boat driver was very amusing and knowledgeable who took us to a few bays and explained the history. In Greenbay we swam with a few turtles which was amazing and saw some large fish. Afterwards we swam around a coral reef which had lots of colourful fish. Snacks and drinks were provided alongside snoring equipment. We were really looked after and had a great three hours on the trip, well worth the money for the experience.

Beautiful secluded beach on Green Island! Martina (guide/driver) was kind and informative. She was and spoke beautiful Italian. We saw a large sting ray and sea turtle.
