Sunrise Moraine Lake and Lake Louise

Our guide was great. I booked this adventure hoping to dodge the crowds at Lake Moraine. Apparently everyone else thought the same thing. I could not believe how crowded it was. As a photographer, you don't need to be there at sunrise.

Great value for such a fun and unique experience seeing the sunrise at Moraine lake! Highly recommend!

Wonderful view of two beautiful lakes. Climbing around the rock pile at Moraine Lake would be a challenge for those with mobility problems. Expect large crowds of people at both locations. Emily, our driver, was wonderful. Coordinating with Viator was misleading. I told them I wanted to photograph sunrise and then hike at Moraine Lake - staying there for 4 hours. I did not want a tour of both Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Viator told me this was not a problem. However, our driver was on a schedule where we could only stay at Moraine Lake for 2 hours and then we went to Lake Louise for 2 hours. Viator booked with a tour company that got me there for sunrise but did not meet my expectations otherwise. I was disappointed with Viator.

Ozzy was our tour guide. Picked us up promptly. unfortunately had to detour to Canmore asa group when to wrong pickup but, generously, he didn’t want them to miss it and we had the time. The sun forgot to join us at Moraine lake but the scenery was magnificent and watching the changing light - even without sunshine was wonderful. Lake Louise was also very beautiful. We climbed to the lookout. a steady uphill slog rewarded by a spectacular view . the views along the walk on the other side of the lake were equally if not more stunning. So those not up to the climb should not feel they are missing anything. Ozzy was attentive throughout . The hot drinks on arrival were v welcome and the blankets and cushion a godsend. My favourite photo of the day was one taken by Ozzy of us!Definitely recommend the tour as a stressfree way to visit the lakes

Really great trip with fantastic views of the lakes early morning before too many people are there. Our guide Ray was superb, informative about the local area and very welcoming and helpful. Showed us the best spots for photos, took photos for us together and provided coffee, cookies, blankets and seat cushions. Highly recommended- thank you Ray!
