A worthwhile experience enhanced by an excellent guide,
Had a great experience with John Webster of Echo Rails. John was knowledgeable, informative and good company over a full day of e-bike touring that included an alpine cheese making demonstration and tasting along with amazing scenery and touring in the Engadin Valley. It was well paced and manageable and John was attentive to our abilities and interests. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the region more close up than what is possible by train or car.

Perfect Guided Hiking in the Engadine Valley of the Swiss Alps
Thanks to Alpenwild and their first-rate guides, Louis and Sophie, for the fantastic hike from St. Moritz to Italy. I had never been to the Alps before, and I had never heard of villages like Soglio and Malaga, nor the Engadine Valley or Bregalia. Everything was spectacular and I couldn’t have asked for more from either Alpenwild, their guides or Switzerland itself. Well worth the money!!!
Operator response
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with Alpenwild. It's fantastic to hear about your hike from St. Moritz to Italy and the breathtaking places you discovered in the Alps. However, please note that we are Echo Rails, not Alpenwild, and we specialize in similar types of tours in Switzerland and the Alps. If you ever decide to explore the world of rail tours or other adventures in the region, we'd be delighted to assist you in creating unforgettable memories.

Wonderful hike on the panoramic path
We stayed two nights in the Engadine in a hotel. This gave us a free ride on the Muottas Muragl cable car up the mountain and after the two-hour hike down the panoramic path with the chairlift. Arrival and return journey with the Rhaetian Railway to our hotel on the Morteratsch were also free. Why you need a tour guide on this easily accessible hike is puzzling to me. The view of St. Moritz and the lakes can be seen on its own, and the view of the Bernina massif is also wonderful during the hike. To charge around 450 euros per capita is ... Shaking your head.
