Our tour guide was absolutely lovely but I do want to highlight that it was advertised as being led by a former caddie. That was certainly not the case for our tour and our tour guide didn’t even play golf. I asked questions about historical sites and many times the tour guide said they didn’t know or that I could look it up online. We booked the tour hoping to learn more than we did and we paid extra than other tours, specifically because of how it was advertised as being led by a former caddie. Your advertising should meet current expectations.
I would highly recommend the St Andrews guided tour. We had a personal tour with a delightful man called Donald. He brought the history of the place to life. As a avid golfer, the old course section of the tour was exceptional. We found out that we were Donald's first tour. It was our pleasure.
Great fairly comprehensive tour, bonus for taking pics of us & golf score card. We drove to St Andrew’s from Edinburgh for a day trip & this tour was a centerpiece. Had a very good late lunch at a recommended restaurant in town.
What a fantastic experience. Mike our guide was exceptional. Took us to places in St Andrews you just would not happen upon and all the local history. Master photographer as well for us. And best of all got us on to the Old Course for a photo on the bridge. Cannot recommend him highly enough. Best walking tour we have done. Thanks a million Mike
Graham was a great guide. It was not wildly in depth, but it was just right. Great value, good time.
Great tour of St Andrews University, St Andrews Cathedral, and the 18th green of the Old Course. Go on a Sunday when The Old Course is a public park instead of a golf course. You can bring a blanket an picnic on the 18th fairway or anywhere on the course!
We enjoyed our tour. So much to learn about the history of At Andrews and was captured in 2 hours. Would highly recommend.
This was my college age sons favorite tour. They loved the tour guide and his authentic stories and learning the history of St. Andrew’s
Amazing tour, great experience! Our guide Chris was FANTASTIC! Very informative tour about the history of the town, the University and golf. Great for golfers and non-golfers. Beautiful photo opportunity at the Swilcan Bridge at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Mike was a pleasant chap who was a lifelong resident of St Andrew’s. He not only had a deep knowledge of golf history but also of the whole history of St Andrew’s, dating back to the first century. He walked us through all the significant sites from St. Salvador’s and the Cathedral to the Old Course itself, viewing the historic clubhouse from all sides, walking across the 1st & 18th fairways, to the 17th (Road Hole) green and finishing on Swilcan Bridge. Mike knew all the best places to take photos and at several points took our cameras to take group photos in front of important landmarks. It was a really instructive and enjoyable two hours, conducted in rare Scottish conditions - blue sky, light wind and warm temperatures.
