Do Not Forget the Genocide

The museum contains images that depict violence and negative elements. I recommend not having young children with you when visiting places that tell stories of events that can be heartbreaking even for an adult. The Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Center and Museum, located in Potočari, Bosnia and Herzegovina, commemorates the victims of the 1995 massacre. The former battery factory, a witness to the massacre, has been transformed into a museum with the support of TİKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) and opened to visitors; entry is free. There is free parking outside the Martyrs' Memorial. First, you can visit the area where the tombs are located, and then go to the museum across the street, which has free entry.
