Snorkel with Manta Rays Guaranteed

We were visiting from England and researched the most ethical and value for money tour, sea paradise came to the top of our searches. We received plenty of information prior to arriving, parking was located along Kaleiopapa road. We were greeted by an enthusiastic crew who made everyone feel comfortable. The manta ray experience was incredible! We were very lucky and saw dolphins as well as tuna during our snorkelling time. On the way back to the pier we were provided with drinks and an amazing view of the milkway. I would do this tour all over again if I had time. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kailua Kona , it is a must do.

The catamaran used for the manta ray snorkeling is beautiful and we saw several manta rays. That said, we went on a very choppy evening which I would not recommend. I feel the guides could have done a better job explaining the conditions and also sharing more facts and information about the Manta Rays and other fish we were seeing. I ended up listening to the guide for the boat next to ours to learn about Mantas. All in all, it was fun but some of the other companies were more knowledgeable and better prepared for the conditions.

Very touching experience! Everything from the reception, guidance, guides and at the end the dance of a large group of beautiful mantas! Go for it, you won’t be sorry.

Didn’t see any manta ray. Quite casual and messy management for wetsuit changing and everything. All the shoes were left on the land unattended, and got wet because of the rain. Minimum management of storage…

This was a huge highlight of our trip to the Big Island. This tour was reasonably priced, just the right length, and a ton of fun. In addition, the guides kept us well entertained with lessons on the manta rays and local customs. One guide even performed a chant for us, which was beautiful. The boat was at full capacity but still comfortable. We were able to move around as needed, and if you stay at the back of the boat, you'll be first in the water and last out of the water, thereby making the most of your manta ray time. I haven't been on any other manta ray snorkel cruises, but I can't fathom anyone else doing this better. My experience with Sea Paradise was perfect.

We did the 9 PM departure. The staff were very helpful in getting us outfitted in our wet suits -- the first time that either of us had worn them. Aboard the boat, they gave a thorough safety and swim introduction. Arriving at our anchoring spot, they deployed the floats with the bright lights and we donned our masks and snorkels and entered the water. We immediately started to see the majestic creatures swimming beneath us then arching up with their mouths open wide to feed, swimming only inches from us. I'm not sure how many different rays we saw, since they seemed to be circling beneath us. The only downside is that my wife got seasick on the boat -- she'd forgotten her motion bands. She insisted that despite that, it was well worth it to experience this. Very highly recommended.

Awesome crew and manta ray snorkel!!!

Incredible once in a lifetime experience. The manta rays came within an inch of our faces multiple times. The crew was friendly and were very helpful to even people that weren’t comfortable swimmers. My only advice, “Amanda”, needs ADHD medicine. We were all just standing around waiting to go in the water and a few people were putting stuff away in there bags like we were told and Amanda was briefing us.. she then says “I’m losing my train of thought, can everyone just sit down” and looked like she was about to breakdown because she couldn’t concentrate on a simple 3 min brief because people were standing.. unprofessional. Other than that, 5 stars.

My first review was taken down because TripAdvisor said it was AI so that is fun.. let's try this again. I just got back from the manta ray snorkeling tour, and it was incredible! The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience so much fun. They gave us all the safety info we needed and threw in some cool facts about the manta rays. Once we hit the water, I felt totally safe with the guides right by our side. We saw 6 manta rays, and the guides taught us how to protect them while snorkeling. This tour was amazing, and I can't wait to bring my husband next time! Highly recommend it!
