Very good guide. Generally a good tour. Having seen Old Faithful in Yellowstone Park in the USA, the geyser did not impress me but for a person who has never seen a geyser probably worth it. The other three locations (falls, crater, tectonic plate spit) were pretty cool. Downside--> Not the actual tour, which was fine. The pick up point was a mess. I was originally told to go to stop #6. Then the day before I got an email saying the pick up point was moved around the corner and down the hill to a point alongside Hverfisgata and alongside the big lawn. Some of the Arctic Adventure buses stopped there but some stopped on Ingolfsstraeti (stop #6?), including my tour bus. I almost missed the tour and had to run to the bus and only realized the problem when someone (maybe an Arctic Adeventure employee) yelled for me by my first name. Given that the pickups are just at street corners, maybe all should be staffed by dispatchers; for this particular location -- which turned out to be two locations about a 100 meters apart -- a dispatcher was definitely needed (or maybe the tour buses should have all stopped at exactly on of the two locations.) In short, the pick up process was a mess and needed and needs improvement.

Your Golden Circle Complete tour starts with a Reykjavik pick-up. From the Capital, you will head to visit all three of the classic Golden Circle attractions, Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir in addition to other interesting neighbouring stops along the way.
The first highlight of the tour is the bright red Kerid crater lake. It's a 3000-year-old spot 55 meters deep and most recognized for its beauty – aquamarine-colored water surrounded by red rocks and greenery. This color scheme is what makes the lake look like a giant eye from above. For this reason, it's called "The Eye of the World."
Next up is Gullfoss, Iceland’s best known waterfall. The stunning waterfall falls gracefully down two steps creating a stunning setting for that picture perfect moment.
Next, we'll stop at Thingvellir National Park a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drink in the heavy mixture of geological and historical wonders at this popular site as you stroll between the rift valley that the tectonic plates of N-American and Eurasian have created.
Netxt, you will visit the phenomenal hot spring area of Geysir. Here you will get to experience Strokkur geyser in action, spouting boiling water up to about 60-100 feet.

The Golden Circle...a Must!
Jakob was our tour guide and he is fantastic! Knowledgeable about the history of the area. Easy to talk to also. Doesn't mind questions. The tour itself is perfect. The geysers, the crater the rift, everything. Our group had i believe 17 and perfect size. We stopped for lunch and given ample time to eat and explore the area If you're in the air about this tour, it's a must and if you can ask for Jakob as your guide.

Bad
The worst tour guide I have ever encountered. The guide was Spanish. I had been waiting at the meeting point for an hour, yet he apparently came and left without even calling out my name. When I tried to contact him, he claimed that he had come to pick me up but couldn’t find me, which was simply not true. Afterwards, instead of apologizing or handling the situation professionally, he made ridiculous jokes and treated me as if I were the one who had arrived late. As I was the only girl there and was travelling alone, the way he handled the situation made me feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable.
