Your booking supports local families. Pickup from hotels across Guanacaste: Liberia, Coco, Hermosa, Papagayo, Flamingo, Brasilito, Tamarindo and more. Swim at Llanos de Cortés waterfall, taste organic coffee and chocolate made by local families, search for sloths, toucans and frogs with an expert naturalist who helps you get close-up photos, and enjoy a traditional Tico lunch. Easy walks, a relaxed pace, never rushed. Ideal for families with kids of all ages, couples and nature lovers. Good to know: a full day of 8 to 10 hours depending on your hotel. In the rainy season (Sep–Nov), swimming depends on water conditions; if unsafe, we'll let you know in advance.

Cortés Plains Waterfall (1 hour, admission included) Swim or cool off at one of Guanacaste's most beautiful waterfalls. We arrive early to enjoy it before the crowds. It's an easy walk down, with cold drinks waiting on the way back up.
Rainforest Sloth & Wildlife Walk – Bijagua (1 hour, admission included) Walk easy rainforest trails with an expert naturalist guide. Look for sloths up close, red-eyed tree frogs, poison dart frogs, eyelash vipers and toucans, with help getting great close-up photos.
Coffee & Chocolate Farm Experience – Bijagua (1 hour, admission included) Meet a local family farm and see how coffee and cacao are grown and made by hand. Taste cacao at every stage and enjoy freshly made coffee and hot chocolate.

We had a nice day. We have a 2 1/2 year-old and did not want anything strenuous, but wanted to see some gems of Costa Rica. We experienced swimming in a waterfall, got to see all the animals that we wanted, had a delicious lunch and a very great experience at the coffee & cacao tour. We were picked up and met up with the larger group, so it was nice that they took into consideration the different locations of hotels. I appreciate the efficiency. Nana was a great guide. Everyone involved was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Our experience was so great and we all enjoyed our time. Our driver/guide was very pleasant and friendly. We got to see sloths, went to waterfall, eat costa rican food, and try chocolate and coffee.

Hotel pickup process was sketchy. Picked up by an uber type Driver who did not speak English. Had to meet up with van from other hotel at a gas station. Waterfall was Disappointing. Found out upon arrival that water was ‘murky’ due to rain. It was BROWN. Not murky. No one swam. Waste of time. Coffee and chocolate was simple and underwhelming. 5 minute tours of each. Best part of sloth experience was baby sloth and lunch. Very accommodating to gluten allergy Driver drove like a maniac. Tour guide was A bit unprofessional when talking about his own life. No one wants to hear how he knew he was about to be a father of his second child after leaving his wife ‘when she told him she wasn’t having her period’. Too much information we could have done without.

Heavy rains the days before your tour turned the water brown, and we know how disappointing that is when you're expecting a beautiful swim. We also apologize for the confusion with your pickup. You should have had a clear, smooth start to your day, with a driver able to communicate with you in English. Hotel pickup was a little sketchy. We had to be picked up in an uber type car (which had very strong air fresheners) and then dropped off at a gas station to meet another bus from a different hotel of guests. Waterfall was underwhelming. We were told as we started walking to it that the water was ‘murky’ and we might not want to swim. It was BROWN. Not murky, brown. No one swam it in. Waste of time. Lunch was good and very attentive to gluten allergy. Coffee tour and chocolate tour were One and the same. Just ok. Bus driver drove like a maniac. Extremely fast! And tour guide was Ok. Sometimes a bit inappropriate conversations when he would talk about his life. Sometimes you don’t want to hear ‘she told me she didn’t have her period’ so I knew she was pregnant with my second child after I left her.
Great tour! Very organized and educational. We saw everything promised and had a great time. Bring your water shoes for the waterfall and bug spray for the sloth seeing.
