Begin with a rainforest hike in Tenorio Volcano National Park to the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall, famous for its striking blue waters. Then, take a guided wildlife walk focused on spotting sloths, while also looking for toucans, frogs, snakes, and, with some luck, a Baird’s tapir. Enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch at Sabor de Doña Carmen, a local soda in colorful Bijagua, a small town surrounded by two volcanoes. Hike through the rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park to the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall. Follow the scenic trail through lush tropical forest before reaching the famous blue waters of one of Costa Rica’s most iconic natural attractions. Enjoy the scenery, learn about the rainforest, and capture memorable photos along the way.
Take a short guided walk through the rainforest in search of sloths in their natural habitat. Sloths are the main highlight, while the forest also offers opportunities to spot toucans, frogs, snakes, and, with some luck, a Baird’s tapir. Your guide will help you find wildlife and learn more about the incredible ecosystem of Costa Rica.
Enjoy a homemade style Costa Rican lunch at Sabor de Doña Carmen, a traditional local soda in colorful Bijagua town. What an incredible day! Río Celeste was even more beautiful than the pictures, with stunning colors and amazing rainforest views. Seeing sloths and other animals in the wild was a dream come true. The coffee and chocolate tour was interactive and educational, and we loved learning about the production process directly from local experts. Later, visiting the beautiful Llanos del Cortés Waterfall was the perfect way to end the day. The waterfall is spectacular, with plenty of opportunities for swimming, relaxing, and taking amazing photos. Everything was well organized, and the entire experience felt authentic and memorable. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica.
