Snorkel in between two continents at one of the top diving sites in the planet! Silfra is located in Iceland’s National Park, Thingvellir. It is a fissure that was formed by the divergent tectonic drift of the Eurasian and North American plates. What makes Silfra exceptionally unique is not only its geological significance, but it is also world-renowned for its crystal clear, fresh glacial water. This is constantly fed with a steady stream of 100m+ visibility drinkable water that creates the unique bio-diversity in this fissure. We are the only operator in Silfra offering both drysuit and wetsuit together. This means multiple people in your group can book their preferred option. We include photos as standard so you don't have the hassle of handling your own camera, but you are welcome to bring one! Our guides have all been doing this for years and know the best spots to take pictures of you and your group.

Absolutely incredible experience at Silfra. We were running late, but our instructor Kaya was amazing about it and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Silfra itself is definitely an experience I’d recommend, but probably not for the faint-hearted. You’re putting yourself in a pretty unusual and potentially uncomfortable situation: freezing water, deep sections, tight spaces and being very aware that you’re underwater. If you’re not a confident swimmer, are uncomfortable with deep water or tight spaces, or struggle with holding your breath, I’d think carefully before doing it. For me though, the entire experience felt surprisingly easy and was honestly amazing. I’m a strong swimmer and comfortable holding my breath for long periods, so once we were in the water I could just enjoy how surreal the whole place is. A huge part of that was Kaya. She was super nice, patient and genuinely instructive throughout. Even during the dive, she was constantly making sure we weren’t rushing through different sections and would stop us to actually look around and appreciate what we were seeing. She talked us through everything really well and made the whole experience feel safe and relaxed. What stood out most was that you could tell she genuinely loves diving and enjoys what she does. That enthusiasm makes a massive difference when someone is guiding you through an experience like this. Absolutely loved it. One of the highlights of my Iceland trip, and a huge thank you to Kaya for making it such a great experience.
This snorkeling tour is truly impressive and, in my opinion, a must when you are in Iceland, because you cannot experience this anywhere else in the world! We were welcomed wonderfully, our guide Luis was super friendly and funny and explained everything well to us. We then just had the impression that he wanted to finish quickly and get off work, which is why we sometimes felt a bit rushed. But the equipment was of great quality, and snorkeling in the fissure was anyway! I can only recommend it! Unfortunately, you cannot dive down in the dry suit to get the view from all sides because the suit is full of air. That was a bit of a shame, because I would have loved to experience that. So for this purpose, either a semi-dry wetsuit or book a diving tour instead ;)
Great experience and our great guide Louis made us feel safe and entertained. Would recommend anyone going to Iceland to see Silfra.
One of our best experiences in Iceland- I can’t recommend our tour guide, Anil, enough. He, was thorough, kind, and patient with us- he made sure this was a fun and accessible activity and that all members in our small group were safe and comfortable.
Absolutely AMAZING experience!! DO THE WET SUIT! So worth it!!! The water was crystal clear and the whole experience was unforgettable. Our guide, Ines was incredible so friendly, funny and just a good time all around! . Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland! 💙✨ can’t wait to see the photos!
Great excursion! Ines was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable about the area, snorkeling/diving, and gave us a great recommendation for thermal springs. This was a once in a lifetime experience and would highly recommend to anyone wondering if it's worth it.
In the best summer weather, the snorkel tour led by Ines was an incredible experience. Protected from the icy cold and crystal-clear water by the warm undergarment overall and the dry suit provided by the organizer, one could enjoy the special impressions between the two continental plates. Many thanks to our guide Ines, who led with charm and professionalism and took great photos.
Dory was a terrific guide. She was clear, efficient and professional. Assessed our skill level and treated us accordingly. And, she had a quirky sense of humour that suited us well. Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience! Went with my husband and teen boys, it was great for everyone. We have varying levels of skill and the guide, Arnil, was really great with each of us. The experience was breathtaking, I’ve never been in water so clear.
