Experience Silfra's pristine, crystal clear water while you dive between two continents. Silfra is a crack in the Earth ripped open by the movement of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The crystal clear glacial water filling the Silfra fissure has been filtered for decades through underground lava rock, providing over 100 meters of underwater visibility. The underwater scenery that you experience in Silfra is found nowhere else on Earth, a true bucket list dive. The diving tour of Silfra is done in a dry suit, helping you to stay warm and dry inside the suit. You will explore the four main parts of Silfra, the big crack, Silfra hall, Silfra Cathedral and the Silfra Lagoon. You will be able to touch the 2 continents at one point, don't forget to take a photo! Silfra is located in Thingvellir National Park which is a Unesco heritage site. The beautiful park is one of the wonders on the famous Golden circle route.

This was an amazing, seamless experience from pickup to drop-off. The dive guide arrived at the pick-up point right on time and gave me a full rundown of what to expect for the dives (Silfra and Dav). On site, the team quickly got us prepped and ready, and then we were off to the dive. Everything went smoothly, and I could not have been happier with the experience. I will definitely use them again on my next visit.
Wow such an experience! That was simply amazing, the colors, the light, the overall intense feeling. The dive was only 30 minutes but it’s worth it. My wife took the snorkeling tour and loved it as well. Highly recommended!
I took the bus transfer from bus stop number 9 in town. The pick up was seamless. We went to the dive site and all the gear was in great shape. The service was professional and organised. Elsa our guide was a great communicator with a professional yet caring personality. I felt very comfortable with her guiding us. The dive was a sensory overload and delivered everything on the brochure. Elsa took photos and verified my Padi dive log same day. Overall a great experience.
Dive.IS is a top notch organization! I reached out to customer service several times before the dive. They were welcoming and thorough. On snorkel day, EVERY step was organized and well done, from pickup to drop-off. The entire staff worked together seamlessly to provide a great experience!
Everyone is picked up, and therefore not everyone is collected at the start of the tour. The pickup was almost 30 minutes later than agreed at the end. This should have been communicated so that one does not become restless. The bus ride to the dive spot was good. The dive and the entire organization on site were very good. The guides were excellent and tried to take care of all the concerns of their diving guests. The dive spot was definitely among my highlights.
Once I put my face in the water, I was mesmerized by the views. I wished there wasn't a current, as I wanted to stay and enjoy the clear water stretching as far as I could see. My guide, Anaiza, kept the tour light-hearted from instructions to snorkeling! If only the dry suits weren't so uncomfortable! But, once I saw the views, I forgot about the suit. Definitely a good way to understand all the fissures you see around Iceland.
Pure adventure diving - first class A great experience, clear visibility, everything as in the photos, this is rare and probably only here between the tectonic plates, unique. Very well organized, excellent rental equipment, nothing is missing. Although a bit pricey, it is justified; I can only recommend it. The cool weather and water temperatures are hardly noticed due to the good conditions. An experience that every diver should not miss.
The best experience! Wilfred was an amazing and very helpful guide!
Excellent dive. Excellent experience. Excellent guide. Veli guided me through Silfra and took great pictures of me and my experience like the professional he is. I’d highly recommend making sure you add this dive to your Iceland itinerary and check it off your bucket list!
