We had a great 4WD experience on this tour, made extra special fun by our guide Octavio. He was enthusiastic, personable, and quite humorous, which greatly added to theoverall flow of the day. Although our vehicle experienced some mechanical problems, we nevertheless still enjoyed many great sites and memories. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Lino. He brought great energy, a positive attitude, and shared plenty of interesting information about Madeira throughout the tour. The excursion was the perfect length and very well planned, combining sightseeing with fun, especially the stops for swimming in the natural pools. We highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic! We enjoyed a radical massage on top of the jeep through lands in the middle of nature! We visited several parts of the island, lunch was in a wonderful restaurant! And diving in the natural pools is wonderful! Lino, our guide, was very friendly and in a good mood! He drove exceptionally!
I took two tours with Green Devil. The first one was called „Enchanted Terraces“ and covered the Northwestern part of the island offering great views of the mountains, the lava pools of Porto Moniz and Seixal as well as the misty and fascinating laurel forest that covers large parts of the island. We learned that scenes of the next Star Wars episode will be shot there and at other places on Madeira, so I’ll make sure to watch it and see if I can recognize any places. Our tour guide was Duarte. He is a very safe and experienced driver who made sure we all had plenty of fun on the road. He is a great lover of animals and also knows a lot about the plants and flowers of the island. So on top of showing us beautiful sights, he also taught us something new which is always good. We were supposed to stop at the Seixal lava pools for a swim but when we arrived there, a kid seemed somewhat disappointed and asked for the black sand beach of Seixal, so Duarte took us there instead. He always stopped at the best places for pictures and made sure we had a great time. We could not have wished for a better guide. Thank you very much for a great day, Duarte!
We booked a tour with Viator. We arrived at our vehicle that was to be just 4 people. Unfortunately we are small people. The driver of another jeep that was not for us, told us to come with him, which consisted of a group of Carnival Cruisers, and all much larger than we are. They did not want 2 others from their ship that were way larger even than they were with them on their excursion. They also had a ship leaving around 3pm so we had to cut the tour short. Then our driver wanted us to pay for a lunch we had already paid for, because we were not supposed to be with these cruise people. After much hassle, he gave us our lunch money back. We met up with the folks who ended up with our vehicle bragging that they got a private tour (which should have been ours). The other two people did not show up. Very disappointed in Viator and driver with Green Devil tour company who allowed this to happen. We did not get what we paid for.
