Very good excursion

The excursion was perfect. The guide Edu, very kind and a very good driver, we liked him a lot. It is better to book directly with the company, when booking with Aviayor, there was an error in the schedule

Bad experience!

The experience was awful. The available car had no security and we were not warned that during the ride risk manoeuvres would be made (with a lot of emotion). And for us, older people, these manoeuvres are very dangerous, at the first stop we give up the ride.

Driver was not friendly

We did the excursion by van. The guide stopped us at certain points that were not very interesting without much explanation. He didn't even stop at Fanal Forest because of the fog. The guide was not always friendly. We had, however, done this excursion a few years ago by 4x4 where the guide told us many anecdotes and we were delighted. Very disappointed by this excursion despite the beauty of the landscape.

A rich and memorable day trip

The day tour was fantastic and offered a wonderful variety of experiences—from scenic mountain trails and exciting bumpy jeep rides to misty forests and relaxing volcanic pools. Every part of the journey was unique and enjoyable. Our driver, Enia, was incredibly informative, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Very beautiful tour with breathtaking landscapes.

The excursion was definitely worth it; you get to see countless beautiful landscapes. Our guide Enia, an authentic Madeiran, passionately shared her homeland with us through interesting explanations. There are plenty of highlights on this tour (see photos). My tips: definitely bring a hat and sunscreen, as you will be driving with the top down the entire tour. Although not much hiking is done, one should still consider wearing sports shoes, as you are on your feet quite a bit and have uneven ground at the levadas or in the mystical forest. In Porto Moniz, I liked the natural pools without an entrance fee the best; they were more authentic and there was less crowding.

Fabulous day trip

We had a blast. Picked up on time from the hotel, only one other couple in our jeep so plenty of room. Taken up into the mountains, well above the cloud level for the day; which meant some great pics. The off-road bit was crazy good. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day even though the sea was so rough it prevented us from having a dip. Special shout out to Enya, our driver and host for the day. Always making sure we were ok and ever so friendly. For the price, this tour is a must.

Lovely day

It was a lovely day with variating sceneries around the island and our superb guide Enya. She was very warm and kind to us and drove safely on challenging roads (some of those were realllly bumpy indeed). There was enough time for lunch and swimming and the schedules were negotiable.
