This was fun, but we only saw 2 turtles. The shipwreck was cool and close enough to actually see it, unlike some shipwrecks we've seen that are so deep you only get merky view of them.

Experience the beauty beneath the waves on our Turtle & Shipwreck Cruise, departing from the stunning Carlisle Bay on Barbados’ southwest coast. Carlisle Bay is a beautiful crescent-shaped bay known for its calm, crystal-clear waters and thriving marine life. Beneath the surface, you may encounter colorful tropical fish, seahorses, rays, octopus, and sea turtles. The bay is also home to six historic shipwrecks, creating a fascinating underwater environment and an unforgettable adventure for snorkelers. This 80-minute cruise includes snorkeling at one shipwreck and a visit to the turtle-feeding area, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim alongside these incredible creatures. Please note that marine life sightings vary from day to day. While turtles are commonly seen, the number can vary greatly—you may see several turtles or just one. On very rare occasions, turtles may not be spotted. As these are wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

We booked the 90 minutes Turtle Bay Snorkel Tour. We were picked up 45 minutes late, and we chalked that up to island time. The boat only goes a few hundred feet from shore, and was supposed to stop twice. Not only did we only stop once, but the turtle they show you is 35 ft down and is a gray dot. You have a be a pretty good swimmer as we probably swam a half mile or so. You’re better off bringing your own snorkeling gear and just swimming from shore. We then were stranded in Carlisle bay. The bus driver was no where to be found. All in all our 90 min tour turned into 3.5 hours. If you want to snorkel Carlisle Bay, just taxi there, snorkel, enjoy the beach for as long as you want and then just take a taxi back. You can stay as short or as long as you want and it would just cost a little bit.
Good Day Please contact us directly as to be honest your review makes no sense to me. If you were picked up 45 minutes late you would have missed the cruise and you can be stranded in Carlisle our office and our check in booth was there so if you could not find your driver the team would be able to immediately help you. Please contact us so we can resolve this.
I can not say enough positive things about this excursion. We did this while on a cruise and had the ability to jump off the boat and enjoy the whole day in paradise. The scenery beautiful. But was far overshadowed by the amazing staff. They were hilarious, knowledgeable, and so amazing with the kids. We got on the boat and we're able to see both ship wrecks, fish, and a turtles! My son (8) had a little difficulty with the snorkeling gear. But in and out of the water the staff was helpful. The price was also super affordable, easy to navigate from the cruise and from start to finish so customer service focused. I would 11/10 recommend and already have to friends and family that they must visit barbados as a beautiful country, with this as a must do activity!
The snorkeling was good., some of the information was not clear. We didn't understand that there were 3 versions of the experience and they all were grouped in one pickup. We expected to get picked up and to go snorkeling for 1.5 hours right away. We had to wait at least an hour once we got to the beach before we could get on the boat. We were also expected to wait for all the other experiences to end to go back to the ship. Again, the way we read it, we would be picked up, snorkel and then be returned to the ship right away. Also, flippers would have been helpful.
Brilliant However. Needed to be back at the Cruise ship at 2 (expecting the tour to finish at 12) and was cutting it very close due to issues getting back (they ended up putting me in a shared taxi)
Very good product, impeccable organization, top staff, no waiting at the port and easy to find the RV, for an exceptional price 42,35 euros really good time. A beautiful beach and two spots nearby but very beautiful. A wreck with two many fish and turtles further and a very large ray. This is not an aquarium, you should not expect to see a documentary about Cousteau but the experience is worth it... Thank you Viator, keep this professional team.
Brilliant tour. Visited with husband and our two children (4 & 2) Guide collected us from the cruise terminal at 10am - just a 15 minute wait for the shuttle bus. Then it was about 7 minutes to Carlisle Bay. Once at the beach, the shuttle parked up and we were shown the restrooms and bars before stopping at the excursion hut to receive our wristbands. We also had to sign another waiver (additional to the one online). There was about a 40 minutes wait for the 11:15 tour. We didn't have chairs included in our tour cost, but we managed to have a paddle which the kids enjoyed. The beach itself is white sand and very beautiful clear water. At 11:10 we headed back to the tour depart point and then our guide arrived to show us onto the boat. There was a short walk along the beach and we were told to take our footwear off before boarding as footwear was not allowed on deck (there's a basket on board for all shoes). I got changed into my swimwear in the ladies loos before the tour. Not the most desirable, but served a purpose! Plenty of help to get onto the boat up the steps. The boat guide helped the children in first and then helped us on. Tour was brilliant! We all were given life-vests and snorkels, two sizes (adult and child) I stayed on deck with the two-year old whilst my husband took the four year out to snorkel. The four year old also had a floaty (a life ring) which worked well. Even though I was on deck, I still saw a turtle. My husband and 4 year old saw sea life including fish and turtles and then we moved to the shipwreck, which they both saw too. One of the guides took the 2 year old out with him which was brilliant as it meant she was able to enjoy too. The captain lowered the steps for me to sit on so that I could also enjoy as I'm not a strong swimmer. The glass bottom was nothing that special as we didn't see anything through there - but I think other tours have been able to see turtles under the boat through there. We had a decent amount of time in the water - about half an hour, maybe more. You do need to swim to the next location though as the boat may suddenly move off to secure a spot at the shipwreck. Getting off the boat is either via the front steps or of the back ladder, but getting back on is always via the back ladder. There is also a slide on the top deck for the children which the four year old enjoyed. At the end of the tour we had soft drinks and then returned to shore. Getting off the boat was a challenge as was told to just step off. Natural inclination is to jump down, but don't! The boat moves so you could end up getting hurt. The guide will help if you ask. They were brilliant with the children the whole time, so I would 100% recommend for families of all ages! Tips: Best to get into swimwear before departing for the trip - facilities are OK but not brilliant. Also, if you do use the facilities, be cautious as there is a puddle of water in the middle which my 2 year old slipped on . If you have a waterproof bag, do bring that too as there's a bit of a wade out to the boat. We managed fine with a normal non-waterproof rucksack though. And wear plenty of suncream!!
Excursion takes 4 instead of 1.5 hours. 1 hour waiting time before and after the actual snorkel tour at the bus parking lot.
We loved our boat trip to see turtles and fish. All the crew were amazing and so helpful! Very enjoyable trip.

My partner and I had a brilliant experience with this company. We went to the designated pickup point and we met by staff who got us onto a bus which drove us to the beach 5 to 10 minutes away from there we were taken to the boat and given floatation vests to wear. Don’t bother with wet shoes as they will insist you remove all footwear you will be given a safety briefing and instructions for what to do and not to do the boat only goes out 50 m from the beach for you to be able to snorkel and see many turtles walking along the seabed. Then you will re-enter the water and go see a shipwreck perfectly safe and highly recommended.
