Pickup location not given to tour operator.. never picked us up and they dont want to refund. Horrible never again!
The driver was very aggressive and the drive was very unpleasant. We were nauseous, hot, and extremely uncomfortable.
Excellent transportation option if you want a private, fast, and safe service. Excellent communication from the staff.
Prompt and good driver- very friendly. The only reason I took a star is because the van is pretty small and a bit uncomfortable but the driver stopped midway for a restroom break for us and was very nice. Good for the price but If you’re tall or thick- you will be right!
Glad to have had a scheduled ride to Panajachel. But we got to our destination an hour later than expected because our driver started late and took a long break in between.
When a shared ride with a pick up included is booked, It’s important to keep in mind that it’s not just one person being picked up, but rather several people being picked up at various stops. There could be 6, 8, 9, or even 10 pickup stops. Bedides the traffic in Antigua is do slow because of the cable stone streets. So, you have to take into account that if the bus starts picking up passengers at 12:15 p.m., it will finish picking them up around 1:00 p.m. The driver knows he has to arrive at a certain time to the destination. However, some passengers need a stop to use the restroom or stretch their legs a bit, since they can’t sit on the bus for 2 hours and 30 minutes. So the driver gives them some time to use the restroom, stretch, buy a bottle of water, and so on. Please don't just blame it on us. Is not the driver who needs a break. We are used to even longer rides.
It is advertised as a hotel pickup from Antigua however, 24 hours before the pick up I got a message saying we needed to meet at one specific hotel to avoid traffic. This was pretty inconvenient since it was on the other side of town and it would have been nice for that to be in the booking details. The shuttle left 15 minutes late but the driver made up the time on the way to Panajachel. The driver did drop everyone off at their hotel (or the ferry) in Panajachel which was convenient. If you get motion sick at all, I’d definitely recommend taking medicine beforehand as the road gets pretty twisty close to Panajachel.
If you read the information in the product description, you may have noticed that it states here that we do not offer pickups on certain dates or occasions when the city or authorities, for whatever reason, close streets in Antigua and traffic is too slow. It’s impossible to pick everyone up at their hotel. If we were to start picking people up at 12:15, we wouldn’t arrive a few minutes or half an hour late—we’d arrive probably two or three hours late.
Our drive from Antigua to Panajachel was smooth. It was quick, but we still felt safe. We were picked up right from our 1st hotel and dropped right off in front of the second.
Great service and efficient Great prices. 5 days stay. I’m
Easy pick up and drop off . Air conditioned vehicle, and had a few rest stops along the way. Would recommend to others
The ride is not far, but there's traffic and roads go up and down over steep hillsides. Pickup is only from downtown Antigua hotels; dropoff is a lot by the lake
