This activity has been designed by a local ‘expert’, who has created a fun experience that takes you to some of the town’s highlights and the lesser-known places, away from all the tourists. The puzzles are designed to help you experience the place from a different perspective – using landmarks, murals, statues etc - and you’ll even learn some ‘fun facts’ along the way. The self guided aspect of this activity means that you can rush through as fast as you like or stop for a drink or something to eat as you like. The app remembers your progress and even allows you to complete your adventure another day. We aim to strike a fun balance between challenging puzzles, a fun outing with friends and family and a pleasant walk around outside.

A great way to explore the pretty town of Portimao with family. Easy to follow especially as it is mostly on a marked pavement route. There are lots of fascinating things to find and learn about, and some of the clues are excellently devious!
Thanks for taking the time to write us a review. Very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our more ‘devious’ clues as well as learning a bit more about Portimao. It’s a very lovely, and under-rated town.
We had a great time doing the Treasure hunt in Portimao. It was great to have a focus when walking around, as we would likely have walked past a lot of the points of interest without having really noticed them, if we hadn't been doing the hunt. It makes you stop and notice things and rhe fun facts are good, too. The clues are just the right level, they make you think but not too hard that you give up. It was good to have the option of a "hint/tip" for some of theore difficult ones. We managed to do them all and scored quite well. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely do more. Very well planned and laid out. Thanks Adventure Hunt!
Hi Sally. Thanks for the great feedback! It’s really good to know that the clues are pitched at the right level. It’s always a challenge to create something ‘just right’ and we aim to get a balance between relatively easy to solve and more ‘brain-teasing’. Glad you enjoyed the route too, and the related points of interest.
Wonderful way to walk around Portimao and see the sights. Numerous shops, restaurants, and bars to stop at along the way.
Hi David. Thanks for the positive review! We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the experience and took advantage of some of the great places to take a break on route 😊
We had such a fun time on this scavenger hunt! As Londoners in our 20s , for our first proper walk around Portimao, it was so helpful and easy to find all the locations and was a great excuse for us to take our time and look around the beautiful city. Would definitely recommend for early on in your stay.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We love Portimao and are really pleased to hear that our Adventure Hunt was a fun and helpful way to introduce you to the city.
Super fun and very well organized
Obrigado por avaliar a nossa Caça à Aventura. Que bom saber que se divertiu!
We heard about Adventure Hunt from a friend so were intrigued to try it out. Such a fun way to explore. It certainly gets the old brain cells going and see things you might not have noticed otherwise.
Thanks for your positive review. Great to hear we got your 'old brain cells' going. We try to create a mix of puzzles - from 'easy wins' to the more challenging - so it's good to know we got the balance right.
I didnt understand all the steps required. By the time I got to adventure puzzle I ran out of time. Instructions made it seem we needed to turn in ticket at club Naval but no one knew what I was talking about. I think better instructions about step by step would be helpful.
Thank you for wanting to try Adventure Hunt. We have tried our best to keep the instructions as simple as possible, and, over the last 6 months, these instructions have proven to work very well, so apologies that you found them confusing. The ticket states "This is not your entry ticket: Please see below for details about your ticket delivery." and then below; "Complete the confirmation form at https://adventure-hunt.com/viator. Once you have completed the form we will send you an email with all of the information you need to get started and enjoy your Hunt!" We really want everyone to have an enjoyable Adventure Hunt, so take this process very seriously. I have checked our communication yesterday, and can see that you contacted us at 11.31, and by 11.40 you had received the confirmation email. While we appreciate that you may not have contacted us until after you already needed to leave the area, we are happy that we tried our best to get you started and that our process is not overly complicated. Should you wish to try again, at either Portimao or one of our other locations, please let us know and we will provide you with a free Adventure Hunt and ensure that you are all logged in before the day of your Adventure. This is something we always encourage people to do anyway, as it's always easier to resolve any minor issues before arriving at a location. We hope you have enjoyed the rest of your holiday.
We really enjoyed the puzzle adventure experience in Portimão . It was really interactive and exciting when you solved a puzzle and moved onto the next one . All clues were very well thought out and It's was a really great way to take in the sights and beautiful streets of Portimao . I thoroughly recommend doing this and it's great for couples and families!
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the Portimao hunt and thanks for taking the time to write us a review.
Unfortunately, our cruise ship could not dock in Portimão due to weather, so we could not go on this adventure that we had paid for. I communicated with Adventure Hunt Portimao via WhatsApp as soon as we found out we could not participate, and I received a pleasant response and a refund within the hour. I am sad we could not visit Portimao and do the hunt, but I look forward to finding them in another city.
Thanks for taking the time to write us a nice review. We're sorry you didn't get to experience one of our Hunts but hopefully there will be opportunities in the future.
Have completed the Puerta De La Cruz Adventure Hunt so thought we'd try this one while we were visiting Portugal. What a beautiful town. The weather was great and the clues were fun and some a few were challenging which we enjoyed. Highly recommend this to anyone, young and old.
Great to hear that you had fun doing our Adventure Hunt and you got good weather too! We have other Hunts in the Algarve, in Tenerife, and now in mainland Spain, so there are plenty to choose from on your next holiday.
