Ronnie and Andre were absolutely fantastic tour guides with loads of knowledge about the rivers and also the wildlife along the rivers. We rafted down the Savegre River and also did a kayaking trip in the Hatillo River and both were incredibly fun and gorgeous! Ronnie is with you the whole time, while Andre kayaked along side, filming and taking loads of pictures that all turned out perfect. The ride up the mountain to get to the drop point for the rafting trip was absolutely breathtaking and filled with small stops where Ronnie would fill your head with knowledge about the plant and animal life indigenous to Costa Rica. They prepared a wonderful Costa Rican lunch for us half way down the river, which we got to enjoy at the bottom of a big, roaring waterfall and it was amazing. 10/10 review in all aspects and we will be returning 100%.
Amazing rafting experience! Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plants and pointed out so many things we would’ve missed. A brief stop for empanadas and a bathroom break at a local spot before the put in and lunch at a beautiful waterfall was a highlight and felt so special. The whole trip was well-organized, personalized, and we felt safe the entire time. Highly recommend!
We booked our tour super last minute and it was a huge highlight of our time in Costa Rica! The guys running the experience really make everyone involved and Mae sure everyone is having a blast! They pointed out all the wild life along the way and made us an amazing lunch ! 100/10 I could not recommend them enough!
This is my second time with Ronny and Andres on the Savegre. So damn fun! Don't waste your time and money going with anyone else. These guys have it dialed in tight, and it's a really good time. New equipment, safe and knowledgeable guides, Ronny and Andres will show you an epic time on the river!
We experienced the rafting trip on the Rio Savegre. The rafting guide, Ronny, is native Costa Rican and spoke English well. During the drive up the river, he made the adventure memorable and special because of his knowledge of animals, trees, and the history of the area. Before the raft trip started, the professional rafting guides provided us with quality safety gear and instructions on how to work as a team to make the wild ride the most enjoyable. We stopped at a big beautiful water fall for a break and a meal. I could not help but notice that there were other companies' rafting guides that took their clients to the water falls, spent 10 minutes there and went back to their raft while we spent nearly an hour there. During which a full meal was prepared by our guides, and gave us time to fully enjoy the nature around us to swim, in and under the water falls, climb, jump from rocks, and catch some rays. I highly recommend Sweet and Salty Adventure Co. For me and my family, it money was spent for the duration of the trip quality of the guides and the full deliciously prepared meal.
Ronnie and Andre with Sweet Salty Adventure Co. did an amazing job! They have tons of knowledge about the local plant and wildlife and they take the time to stop and show you things you would never notice without them. They made us a fantastic lunch and it was a great rafting trip through the beautiful rainforest of Costa Rica. The staff is very kind and willing to take the extra time to show you a great trip. For example, we stayed and explored around the waterfall for much longer than any other group that came through while we were there. I highly recommend that you use Sweet and Salty Adventure Co. for rafting, tubing, or mangrove tours!
Man. What an epic day on the river. My son and I spent the day with Sweet and Salty on the Savegre river and it was so much fun. These guys are consumate pros. Their equipment is top notch, and these guys are skilled. We felt 100% safe. I wouldn't hesitate to take either my elderly dad or my young nephews out with these guys. We saw numerous blue herons, white cranes, toucans and couramonts. The lunch was delicious, and in front of a beautiful waterfall. We paid 300 American for both of us, and honestly I would pay 300 each. Extremely good value. If you're looking for a really fun day, you can't go wrong with this outfit. Pure Vida!
Of the 4 rafting trips I’ve taken this crew is by far the best! The drive up the mountain was a trip in itself learning about the wildlife and jungle. Very professional and knowledgeable in the raft and the best homemade lunch you can ask for under a waterfall. Highly recommend and we will be using Sweet and Salty adventures in the future. PURA VIDA!
