It was a unique experience; we really enjoyed the half-day trip through the dunes and along the sea. Our driver Glen took a lot of time for all our questions about the dunes, the flora and fauna, and Sandwich Harbour, and even a little honeymoon surprise awaited us during our shared snack. Absolute recommendation!!

Great driving, but missed the "sunset" in Sunset Tour To start with the general context: most tours here are priced similarly, though some include snacks or pickups. In my opinion, these feel a bit like a tourist trap; if you have a rental car, you can easily see 60% of the sites yourself. For instance, the "Pink Lake" is just a man-made salt pan—don't expect too much. However, you will likely pay 2,500–3,000 per person for the ocean and dune drive, as you need the expertise and rental insurance won't cover those areas. Specifics of this tour: On the positive side, our guide was punctual, the car was clean/fit for purpose, and the dune driving itself was excellent. The major disappointment was the "Sunset" aspect. We booked specifically because the company messaged us saying, "the idea is staying there till sunset, which is an unforgettable experience." Unfortunately, the guide returned us to the hotel way ahead of schedule, and we ended up watching the sunset from our room. We didn't argue at the time because we were tired of holiday stressors, but it was a letdown. Also, being asked for dietary restrictions was a bit ironic considering we were only offered crisps and water. Final Verdict: Overpriced. If you’ve never driven on dunes, give it a go. If you have, you’ll likely feel this isn't worth the premium.

The excursion really surpassed all our expectations. It was like a offroad trip mixed with beautiful views and we got to see some wildlife too 😍 the tour guide was experienced, and very knowledgeable about the area. We felt very comfortable with him. What a great ride among the dunes at Sandwich Harbour. Lance was a very informed and able guide. We felt very safe though the riding got our hearts pumping. Very nice snack with drinks. Saw a few animals along the way: seals, flamingos, jackal and Sprinkboks.
An amazing trip, literally one of my best travel experiences to date. We had the best guide, kept the energy high through out, we laughed a lot, learned a lot and I can’t wait to come back with friends and family!
Marius the owner & driver of the company picked us up at Walvis bay and provided an unforgettable experience to us. Driving by the salt factory, the pink river down the ocean and finally climbing those dunes with a 4x4 car like crazy offering us the most spectacular views at sandwich harbour. It all ended with dinner on top a dune edging the ocean by sunset! A once in a lifetime experience that is an absolute must do on your bucket list for Namibia! We had so much fun and enjoyed every second of our drive. Marius is very pleased to be around. It was a blast! You should not miss it! Worth every cent!
