San Jose Caves Guided Tour from Valencia with Boat Ride

An excellent tour for those who visit Valencia. The guide found us at a point previously indicated and we went with a Van to the place where the cave is, which contains some restaurants and grocery shops. The cave itself is amazing. We walk a bit to the area where we enter in small boats which are guided by one or two guides depending on the chosen language. The boats drive on a long route inside the cave and stop at its bottom so that visitors can walk for about 300 meters. Then, access the boat again for a different route of return. Amazing visual and history!

The boat ride is inice. Adventure into the caves. The tour get our tickets, and have good planning to make sure we enough time to reach the caves.

Great communication from the start. We met the driver at the pickup spot and he was there early. The van ride to the caves was less than an hour and very comfortable and Air conditioned. Our tour guide, Danny, was very friendly and knowledgeable about Valencia and the surrounding towns. The caves themselves were pretty amazing! It was partially in the boat tour and we walked for part of the way as well. Great experience all around. The little town that the caves were set in was very welcoming and and all the gifts and food you would expect to see.

The representative was easy to locate, and in the location they had indicated. Both the people and the vehicle were clearly marked and easily identifiable. He spoke excellent English and was attentive to our needs including answering any questions we had. Nothing felt rushed. At the conclusion of the tour, he was in the agreed upon location and waiting to return us back to Valencia where he picked us up. The Vehicle was in excellent condition, and air conditioned as advertised. Travel times to and from the excursion were exactly as described. He took the time to point out interesting things along the way which added to the exclusion. Advice on other activities or sightseeing was natural and never felt like pressure. We appreciated the information and ideas for future excursions.

Not quite as expected. Our tour guide Daniel was amazing (5 + stars) He was a delight, and we learned so much about Velencia from him as he drove us back and forth to the caves. He was open to any question and was very knowledgeable. On the other hand, the boat ride was disappointing. Rude travelers spoke loudly over the tour guide, and the boat ride was very cool, but we learned little. Wish they put us in boats by language.

Our guide, Daniel (Danny) was very friendly, interested and knew a lot about the regions and buildings that passed on the way to the caves. Very quiet driver and pleasant chat. Top experience!

Was a wonderful tour. Our guide Toni was friendly, knowledgeable, and was great at providing all of the info and logistics we needed to make it a smooth outing, including the meet up location and info about what the experience would be like. The caves themselves were beautiful, and the boat ride through them was wonderful. Appreciated that Toni was able to translate what the oarsman was saying, since I don’t speak Spanish very well. Highly recommend this tour with Toni of Batwalking adventures.

Excellent tour! It was spectacular to see the longest subterrarean river in Europe. The stalegtite formations were amazing. The river was clean and beautiful. I was very happy to see that the boats were not motorized to keep the environment pure and safe.
