Our guide, Fabio, was a virtual encyclopedia of knowledge about the history of the Basilica of San Clemente and the other venues we visited. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the centuries of churches excavated under the main basilica and how they were discovered. A gem in Rome that wasn’t terribly crowded which made it much easier to enjoy.
Fascinating visit to San Clemente to see not only the “modern” basilica but two other churches buried beneath it that have been excavated over the last two hundred years. Our guide Fabio provided excellent and detailed information on each level of the basilica. Then we visited the Monache Agostiniane Santi Quattro Coronati and San Giovanni in Laterano. Fabio’s extensive knowledge and fluent English made this one of the most interesting tours we’ve ever taken while in Rome. Highly recommend it.
Wow. What an amazing experience. It is obvious that Rebecca has a passion for history and her knowledge is impressive. We toured with our 2 small children and Rebecca treated them as friends. She was sure to include them and make the whole tour lots of fun. Cannot recommend enough.
This Tour really was an excellent experience offering something quite different & very special. Rebecca’s knowledge & passion for her subject was so clear.. she kept us completely enthralled with so much information.. but it was never tedious.. & the mosaics & frescoes we viewed were truly wonderful! The organisation was superb & everything went like clockwork. Definitely this tour must not be missed!
Wow, what a fantastic tour and hidden gem that is just off the beaten path of the Rome tourist trail. Becca is an absolutely fantastic, passionate tour guide - we learnt so much that we never would have been able to discover on our own. All the adminstration was seamlessly taken care of, the company were professional and there was no stress at all on the day. I would highly recommend this tour to others and look forward to doing another tour, hopefully with Becca as our guide again soon in the future.
This was the highlight of our trip to Rome, our guide Rebecca was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, she even took the time to give us further recommendations for the city. The meeting point was easily accessible and we had our guides number the night before just in case we got lost. We loved that the tour was something outside the generic tours and went beyond a guide book! Thanks for such a fun day!
