Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. and travel to the Sacred Valley. Our first stop is the Alpaca Center, a living museum where you can learn about traditional Andean weaving and meet llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos up close. Afterward, drive for approximately 10 minutes to the Taray Viewpoint, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.
Next, continue to Pisac, one of the most beautiful towns in the Sacred Valley. Explore its impressive hilltop Inca site, with ancient terraces, temples, stone buildings, and breathtaking valley views. Afterward, visit the lively Pisac Market, where you can browse colorful textiles, handmade crafts, jewelry, and local products.
After visiting Pisac, continue through the beautiful Sacred Valley to Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue to Moray, one of the most fascinating Inca sites in the Sacred Valley. Its impressive circular terraces descend deep into the earth, creating different temperatures at each level. Moray is believed to have been an agricultural research center where the Incas tested crops under different growing conditions.
Next, visit the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of salt pools cascade down the mountainside. These ponds have been used for generations and are still worked by local families today. Their striking colors and unusual setting make Maras one of the most memorable sights in the Sacred Valley.
The final major stop is Ollantaytambo, one of Peru’s most remarkable living Inca towns. Explore its impressive archaeological complex, with massive terraces, stone stairways, ceremonial spaces, and beautiful views across the valley. Its original streets, water channels, and Inca layout are still part of daily life today. After the visit, return to Cusco for drop-off at your hotel at approximately 6:00 p.m. If you are continuing to Machu Picchu by train or staying in Ollantaytambo before an Inca Trail departure, you may request drop-off near the train station.

Kenny was terrific! Friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. He was also attentive to our group, keeping us all together, and pointed out many details that we certainly would not have noticed without him. Pamela was a great guide who handled everything expected and unexpected with compassion and grace. This is one of the few tours we found that provided Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu in a 2-day trip, saving the return to Cusco each day. That alone was a huge bonus!

Juan was an exceptional guide. From the very beginning, he demonstrated outstanding coordination and communication, thoughtfully adjusting our itinerary to help us acclimate to the altitude. He was kind, courteous, professional, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Was such a pleasure to have Charly guide us along the high points of the Sacred Valley! Super knowledgeable, with lots of stories about each site and a real passion for all the spectacular accomplishments of the Incas - his people. Both my daughter and I felt his passion and desire to share these beautiful treasures. And we got to see a LOT of those treasures .. this is not a short tour! We started with a convenient pickup outside our AirBnB at 7AM and finished with a drop-off back to the same place a little after 7PM. But well worth it, and wonderful to be part of a diverse group of about 10 people, from North America, Europe and Australia. Couldn't have asked for a more fun or friendlier crew to explore this part of Peru!
