One of Rome’s highest points, Gianicolo offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city. Here, we stop at the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, a stunning 17th-century fountain that has inspired countless artists and filmmakers. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of Rome and capture incredible photos before we ride down into the heart of the city.
Descending into Trastevere, one of Rome’s most vibrant and authentic neighborhoods, we stop for a taste of pizza al taglio, a Roman specialty known for its crispy base and delicious toppings, served fresh from the oven. After savoring this local favorite, we head to Bar San Calisto, a true institution where Romans gather daily. Here, you can enjoy a classic espresso or a digestivo like amaro or sambuca, immersing yourself in the city's laid-back café culture in one of its most iconic spots.
Next, we head to the Orange Tree Garden, a quiet and beautiful spot on the Aventine Hill. This peaceful park is filled with orange trees and offers one of the best views of Rome. What an AMAZING tour! As a family of four (with a 6 and 7 year old) I really wanted to see the town but also avoid tired little legs- this was the perfect solution. Friendly service, that left us feeling so welcomed to Roma! They were efficient in their pick up, collecting us from our hotel and accommodating our kids needs. Food stops along the way ensured no hangry children, the suppli was Devine (my personal fav)..plenty of photo stops along the way to ensure these moments will be memories for a lifetime. Highly recommend!!!!
Brilliant. What a fabulous time we had with Simone today. He was charming, informative and such a pleasure to spend time with. Our Vespa 🛵 was beautiful Rosso, and the breeze as we drove along the streets was wonderful. Simone sang to us and told us all sorts of history, fabulous, would highly recommend.
