Rome to Florence & Tuscany by High-Speed Train & Winery Tasting

Arrived in Florence and within an hour of us starting the tour, a thunderstorm rolled thru. It could’ve put a real damper on things, but Jessica made it work. She found covered shelter in the plaza where she was still able to provide a historical tour until the rain lightened up. She was very knowledgeable, and also a very patient and sweet person. The tour gives a high-level overview of Florence city center, before heading off to the countryside to the winery. The wine tasting was an intimate setting, just our tour and a couple of others who were staying onsite. It’s a small family winery and the host was great. He gave a brief tour of the property, which is so serene and beautiful. And then took us into the “cellar” where the magic happens. Although, I’m not into wine, the experience was still wonderful. It was a long, but lovely day! 😊

This tour was such a beautiful experience. The country side is just breathtaking. Our tour guide Jessica was so knowledgeable and sweet which made the experience that much better. The lunch and wine was great as well. I would definitely recommend this experience. You won't be sorry.

What a FANTASTIC experience!! We had an absolutely magical day with our guide Jessica. The train was super easy and her commentary added so much to our walk around Florence. The vineyard was breathtaking. A small, family-run place that felt so special and intimate. We cannot recommend it enough!

An absolutely exceptional tour guide! Jessica paid attention to every historical detail, brought Florence’s rich history to life, and made every stop engaging and memorable. Everything about our trip went very smoothly. We were kept very well informed before our trip about meeting times, procedures and timings. Information from our tour guide, Jessica, was extremely interesting and full of details. She kept all members of the group fully captivated with interesting little details which we would never have appreciated if we hadn’t taken the tour. Enough free time was given to party members in Florence for coffee, snacks and toilet breaks. The drive to the winery in the Tuscany hills was delightful, about an hour duration. As for the winery itself, just brilliant! What a place! What a dream! Food, wine, marvellous views, great company! Thank you to Amin, our host. He made the group feel really comfortable and kept us entertained. San Gimignano on our way back to Florence was enchanting. The trip was great, the company was great, what a laugh we had! New friends made, grazie mille to Jessica, Amin, our driver, Antonio and fellow travellers.

Jessica was fun and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our day with her and the other people we met along the way during our tour. The wine tasting experience was incredible and made it worth the money.

My wife and I did the “Best of Florence & Tuscany by High-speed Train From Rome” tour with our guide Jessica! The day is split up between doing a walking tour of the general city of Florence where you see statues from the greatest sculptures in history and art across the city. You walk and discuss the history of many significant places like the incredibly beautiful Santa Maria del Fiore, Orsanmichele, and the Piazza della Signoria. Jessica, our guide, was so knowledgeable and insightful to the rich history this city has. Expect to hear a lot of art history and prepare to walk! We had a brief break to walk around and collect some water and food (water and sparkling water is free, so bring a bottle!) and returned to walk the streets some more. Upon completion of that tour, my wife and I, along with Jessica, had a ride arranged for our second half of the tour to go to Tuscany, where we met Amin with Fattoria di Fugnano in San Gimigano. The hospitality shared and the laughs were priceless. Amin took us on a tour of the beautiful landscape where the cliffs and hills are the property lines, and the wine is absolutely delectable. We plan on ordering some to be shipped back to the states! A home cooked meal there was the best thing that could have accompanied the day/tour and the chef and staff were so good to us. It has us looking into coming back to rent a stay on their grounds! Upon completing that portion of the tour with Amin, Jessica brought us to the city of San Gimignano to wander the streets and make a decision on the “Best in the World” or the “Most Famous” gelatos! Jessica and the driver brought us back to the train station after as we visited outside of the city. I was skeptical at first as this was something my wife wanted to do over me, and I was happy to obliged. However, I think I had an even better time than her (she still had a fantastic time though!) and it really was a testament to our guide, Jessica. Jessica is a wealth of knowledge, showcasing so much history in a short timeframe. She was so incredibly warm, welcoming, and made this tour one of our favorites over our stay. Her friendliness and knowledge makes this a MUST DO! Amin and staff at Fattoria di Fugnano are phenomenal and will have customers for life! Don’t do half, do the full tour like we did. You will not be disappointed!
