Relax in comfort as you glide around the Eternal City on your private Golf Cart tour. Begin your visit either the morning or the afternoon with your expert tour guide and discover the very best of the Eternal City. The night tour lasts two hours and hit inevitably fewer highlights than those listed. Choose our food tour option if you are keen to indulge in traditional Roman specialties, or the lunch option if you'd rather have a longer tour with an accompanying delicious meal. The tour starts at your hotel, as long as it is located in the city centre. The tour is private, and after seeing the best highlights of the Eternal City, we drop you off back to your hotel. This is by far the most comfortable way to tour a city like Rome. With 6 to 8 people, the tour will run on two golf carts. With 9 to 10 people, we may run the tour on two or three golf carts.

Very enjoyable...
Very enjoyable experience. Our driver was excellent, but we were told she was not certified to speak while driving, which was a large part of the tour. Nonetheless she really did a great job showing us around and taking us behind the scenes. The gelato was a very nice touch at the end!

We were only in Rome a short time and knew we would not have the opportunity to experience all that Rome has to offer or stand in long lines to enter the many churches and historic sites. This is why we chose Rome by golf cart! Our guide Patrick was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, kind, and funny to zoom around Rome for a few hours exploring the sites. We always felt safe and I would recommend to anyone who is traveling a short time. You get to see so much otherwise not possible by walking.

Extremely disappointing experience.
This was the most disappointing experience of our three weeks in Italy and the UK. Extremely poor value (nearly $200 US per person). Based on the reviews, I expected an excellent guide. Our guide, Biagio, somehow managed to be bored and cocky at the same time. He didn’t offer to take photos (we did ask at one or two stops). He gave us incorrect information about multiple sites (e.g., that the Pope and Mussolini negotiated over ownership of the Colosseum). He generally sat in the cart rather than accompanying us to the sites. He was interested in himself and telling us about that. The best I can say is that he picked us up on time and that we cut the lines at Trevi fountain and at a good gelato place. But I’m sure lots of cheaper golf cart tours do the same. This operator must have some good guides but based on our experience it’s not guaranteed.

From what you have described, there appears to have been a communication or misunderstanding in some of the explanations and, more broadly, in the way the experience was delivered. With private tours, there can occasionally very rarely as there was in this case be a clash of personalities or different expectations between a service delivered and service received, as was the case here. While this is never something we want to happen, we recognise that it can sometimes occur, and I am genuinely sorry that this affected your experience with us. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We will use it constructively as we continue working to provide the level of experience our guests expect from Turtle Tour.

Michael was a great tour...
Michael was a great tour guide. We were surprised to find out tickets to the Trevi fountain and gelato were included. He even made a stop at a wine store for us. This tour made our first night in Rome an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend Michael as your tour guide.
