Itinerary
Meet your local guide in Santa Maria in Trastevere Square. Begin your foodie adventure in Trastevere, the "village" of Rome which lies right in the heart of the city. Popular with born and bred Romans, this is the real place to be seen out and about eating and drinking. We will show you the way!
Without any further ado, let’s move to our first stop and savour a couple of deep-fried treats to get us starting.
Now that our bellies want more, it’s time to indulge in some of the best pasta in the area. We sit down and we share two tastings. Be ready for an explosion of flavour!
Time to get a few steps in and head to a neighboring area and one of the most famous squares in the city: Campo de' Fiori. It’s about a 10 minute walk, just enough to digest the first batch of deliciousness. At the square, we’ll take a step back in time and experience the tradition of cured meats in a very old shop
After some proteins washed down with some wine, we will stay around to try an historical bakery pizza and a little sweet treat.
It’s time to approach the end of our journey. We will have a grand final with the best tiramisù in town!
With our taste buds still bewildered, it’s time to conclude our adventure with either a coffee or a limoncello. We believe only the bravest can even think about dinner after all this, BUT if you’re one of them, ask your local guide for recommendations. You’re in the right place!

This was a great tour we ate family style meeting some fun new people. I had booked through Italia rail and I thought it was a walking tour, but it was a sit down farm table type thing with delicious food and wine and dessert. Laura was great as well as the staff from the restaurant.
We had a lovely time at Il Barroccio restaurant . The food and refreshments were really good and we had the opportunity to try some of the Roman traditional food. And they sent the recipes. Did esquisite enjoy company of two Canadians from Ontario and six Americans from Georgia. We had a lovely social interaction. The host Savina (hope spelt right) made the evening with her tales and experiences of Rome. Very glad we took advantage of this experience
