Description
Learn to make pasta by hand with a professional chef as your guide. Your 3hrs class teaches you the basics of cooking authentic Italian pasta that you can recreate in your own kitchen. The class takes place in a charming cooking school with state-of-the-art appliances in the heart of Rome's Trastevere neighborhood. There, meet your Italian chef and small group of fellow cooks over an Italian aperitivo, a plate of cured meats and cheese with a glass of prosecco. Once you've relaxed, begin making fettuccine and ravioli from scratch with a traditional red and white sauce made with seasonal ingredients handpicked by your chef. As the pasta dries, take a break with a gelato-making demonstration. Finally, sit down to enjoy it with plenty of wine and homemade gelato to top it all off. Prefer pizza instead? Select the Pizza Making Class option at time of booking to prepare your own pizza from scratch in this hands-on culinary class with unlimited wine, beer, and a Nutella-topped dessert.

It was a wonderful...
It was a wonderful experience. The food was great, the chefs were great teachers. It was also very entertaining and fun!

Pasta making fun
Elisa was an extremely friendly, knowledgeable and skilled chef who gave lots of encouragement whilst demonstrating techniques clearly and helping us individually. The experience was enormous fun. I discovered there was more to making pasta than I had imagined but the meal we produced wad utterly delicious. This experience was the highlight of our holiday. We enjoyed being hands on with our pasta dough and past making equipment as well as having lively conversations with our fellow participants.

Roberto the Chef/Operator was Non-Responsive - Avoid this Class
If I could leave a 0 review I would. Roberto, the chef from WalksDevour Cooking School that Viator used, texted me the day before the class saying to reply to his message if anything was needed. On the day of the class, Rome police had closed the route to the meeting point for a period of time (it was not on a subway route so transportation by vehicle was the only option) and I texted him twice about being a few minutes late because of this. I also tried to call his cell phone number from the text but it did not go through even though it was showing up as a US number. Roberto never met us at the meeting point (a piazza in Trastevere and not an actual restaurant or business address) and never responded to me as to where to meet him, so my family did not ever get the cooking class we had been looking forward to. Upon arriving back home from my trip, I reached out to Viator to request a refund but has told it was being denied because the operator, Roberto (WalksDevour Cooking School), did not approve it. Beware of this lack of professionalism and common courtesy and I recommend avoiding booking this cooking class. I have booked many other tours with Viator and this is the first time I have ever had anything but a positive experience.

This was a great experience. Wonderful way to spend an evening. Our chefs, Luca and Gian Marie were fun and engaging. Definitely recommend!

Great evening
It was a cozy and well-catered evening. The explanation was clear and everything was told with enthusiasm. We finished with delicious pasta and you get the necessary info so you can make it yourself at home :)
