Start this fantastic Tour from Circus Maximus. Your Bike Shuttle will depart from here
Admire the beauty of the Baths of Caracalla while sitting comfortably in the minivan
The first stop of the Bike Shuttle service will be at the Catacombs of San Callisto or San Sebastiano. Here you will have about 45 minutes of guided tour inside
The second and final stop of the Bike Shuttle is near the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella. Here your safe journey along the ancient Appian Way will begin. Before taking possession of the e-Bike, you will walk for about 3 minutes on the ancient Roman paving

For this reason, we have carefully selected our itineraries, favoring quiet roads with little traffic. Furthermore, our expert guides will accompany you at all times, providing you with all the necessary information and making sure you always feel at ease. You will be able to relax, admire the views and discover the city in a unique and authentic way.
- The "group tour" starts with a minimum of 4 participants, if this number is not reached, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund.
- Our small group tours are limited to a maximum of 8 people.
- Approximately 90% of this tour takes place on the Roman paving of the Via Appia Antica. There is no car traffic, as only residents' cars have access. There are only two crossings when we leave the Appia Antica Regional Park to enter the Aqueduct Park; and when we pass from the Tor Fiscale Park to the Caffarella Park
- The journey by private shuttle is approximately 20 minutes each way
- Basic-medium bike riding skills are required to participate in this activity as it takes place off the beaten track and in the countryside.
- The guide, after a briefing, reserves the absolute and unquestionable right not to admit participants not deemed suitable due to skills or problems related to body/mind health to the tour, no refund will be issued in these cases.
- Infants up to 20 kg traveling in a child seat and participating in the tour as our guests.
- Children up to 139cm join the tour with a children's extension.
- Children can ride their E-bike from the age of 12.
- In the case of official/public celebrations and events in the center of the city of Rome, the tour operator can replace one or more of the highlights of the itinerary.

What a wonderful trip. Our guide (Renato) went out of his way to help our family and the sights and ride were great.
We had such a brilliant time on the e-bike tour of the Appian Way with Alessio! 🚲🇮🇹 We were a little worried about doing the tour in the extreme afternoon heat, but the experience started with a visit to the Catacombs, which was the perfect way to cool down before heading out on the bikes. The e-bikes made the whole ride feel effortless, and Alessio was such a fun and engaging guide. Even though I hadn’t been on a bike for years, I found it really easy — and so much fun! My 12 year old son absolutely loved it and said it was the **highlight of his whole holiday** One of the things we particularly loved about this tour was that they pick you up in Rome and drive you out of the city to start the ride. This meant we didn’t have to worry about navigating Rome’s traffic on bikes, which was one of my concerns when comparing other tours. It was such a fun way to see a completely different side of Rome, and I’d **totally recommend it for families**. Great bikes, a brilliant guide, fascinating sights and lots of fun along the way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Alessio for such a memorable afternoon! ❤️
What a fantastic way to experience a part of Rome that not everyone gets to see. The Appian way is incredible, followed by views of the Aqueducts that we will never forget. The caves and catacombs were fantastic. I can't say enough about this tour - my wife and 2 kids (20 and 22) were initially skeptical when I booked it and afterwards said it was the best tour we EVER did. The electric bikes were easy to use and not strenuous at all. Last but not least, our guide, Aleviandante, was informative and FUN. This is a must do adventure - don't 2nd guess it!

The ride along the aqueduct’s would have been worth it but the tour of the catacombs was an amazing bonus . Marco was a top notch guide who knows the area and took us to several local gem places we never would have discovered on our own. The biking among the three of us ( two 15 years and a 57 year old ) was not difficult . If you’re not comfortable on the bumpier parts of appian there are smoother paths on the side of the road . We took the morning version to avoid the August heat and we were happy with that choice. Great job Marco!!!

This was hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. We are middle aged couple with 3 young adult kids (23,20,16) and we all had a great time. I’m 53 and kinda chubby and pretty out of shape and I had absolutely no problem completing the ride. Husband is 55 and has arthritis and some mobility issues (can walk but can get painful) and he had no trouble with this ride either……and it had been years since either one of us had been on a bike. Our guide, Alessio was wonderful. He gave us all time to get accustomed to the E-bike and then lead us on a great journey through history. He is very knowledgeable with the history of the road and the aquaducts. Had such great energy and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. He was patient with everyone’s abilities and very caring. We took the early 8am tour to beat the August heat and it was just a very pleasant, relaxing informative ride. The catacombs were very interesting. Maybe a tad underwhelming if you’ve been to the ones in Paris, but still well worth the stop. Bring sunscreen and a water bottle. There are plenty of stops along the way to fill it up. Definitely recommend this trip to most everyone regardless of age or abilities. If you can ride a bike, you can do it! The “e” part of the bike makes it so easy! Thank you Alessio for such a memorable experience.

My family of 5 had the best time on this tour. We are husband and wife with 3 young adult kids (23, 20, 16). Hubby and I haven’t been on bikes in years. We were a little worried it would be too much. Gave us all time to get accustomed to the bikes and the features. Was so knowledgeable about the history of the trail and the aqueducts. He was patient and caring to everyone’s abilities. The “e” part of the bike makes this so easy and fun. We had the 8am tour, so we beat the hottest part of the August day. Definitely wear sunscreen and a hat and bring a water bottle. Plenty of places to fill up along the route. I highly recommend this tour!
