Romantic Private Sunset Cruise on a Dhow Boat

After doing some research before arriving in Zanzibar, I decided that Dream Dhow best suited our needs. We communicated via WhatsApp for over a month before our arrival, and every question I had was answered promptly and helpfully. We wanted a private sunset cruise, and the crew delivered with such professionalism. The food prepared on board was absolutely delicious! I especially loved the pilau rice, lobster and chicken,I’m still thinking about it! 😋 I was also particularly impressed that there were strict instructions not to remove jellyfish from the sea, as this causes them harm. It was lovely to see that care for the marine environment was taken so seriously. We had music, soft drinks (including delicious homemade juice), wonderful food, an amazing sunset and, most importantly, a brilliant crew. Asante sana, Captain Samuel and the Dream Dhow team. We booked a sunset cruise and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The crew on board was incredibly friendly and made sure we had a truly enjoyable evening out at sea. The boat itself was very spacious, which we really appreciated. What stood out most to us was the variety of comfortable lounging areas—everything was thoughtfully arranged so you could relax and fully enjoy the atmosphere. There were also delicious snacks, including fresh fruit, as well as plenty of drinks available. The music on board was perfectly chosen and added to the overall vibe of the evening. A nice bonus was the small restroom on the boat, which made the experience even more comfortable—you can easily enjoy a few extra glasses of sparkling wine without any worries. 😉 Overall, it was a fantastic experience that we would definitely recommend!

I had planned to propose to my girlfriend on this trip. The sunset tour was perfect for this. There were just the two of us and a very friendly team of three. There were all the drinks you could want, and dinner was grilled fresh on the boat and served. All in all, it was a wonderful trip that I would do again anytime.

We did not eat lunch in preparation for this cruise. Unfortunately, there was no seafood or chicken as advertised but fruit, soda and snacks were provided. The crew were great and friendly. It was relaxing and I loved the views of the beach and islands in the distance. We were there for the sunset and it was amazing!! The Privacy was nice my daughter and I enjoyed the peacefulness. There were pillows and blankets and it a was a really cool vibe. Eat before the sail.

I celebrated my birthday with a private sunset cruise with this company. Everything was handled amazingly from pick up to the decoration of the boat to the crew manning the boat. I didn’t have to worry about anything!

The Dream Dhow Zanzibar sunset cruise was a highlight of my trip! The traditional dhow boat was beautiful, the seafood dinner was fresh and delicious, and the views were absolutely stunning. The crew was friendly and made the experience feel really special. A perfect way to end the day in Zanzibar — highly recommend!

We had an unforgettable sunset boat tour for two, and it was simply perfect. The atmosphere was romantic and peaceful, with breathtaking views as the sun went down over the water. The fresh fruit platter was beautifully prepared and added a lovely touch to the experience. Everything was well organized, and the crew made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a special and memorable evening!

Stanley is the man! He went the extra to make us feel good and even came back from the boat to drive to our hotel and hand deliver sunglasses to us we left!

My husband and I had a wonderful private sunset cruise and dinner with Hemedy and Musa for our 1st anniversary. Because of the wind we stayed near to Kewenda beach and went up and down the coast but it ended up being lovely for the sunset. The evening was perfect and they arranged a perfect little cake for us too. The dinner (with the best lobster we had in zanzibar) was incredible, as was the service! Will be back next time we are in Zanzibar. Only regret was not knowing in advance we could swim on the sunset cruise as we didn’t come dressed for that! Thanks again for a great evening!

We did the sunset cruise and had the experience of a lifetime - whatsapp communication was so quick and everything ran smoothly. We opted for the live cooking (dinner) which tasted super fresh and delicious. We felt safe the whole time with the skilled boat crew - they were also so friendly and upbeat. 100% do not hesitate to do this! Worth every penny
